  1. Something tells me they’re still going to broadcast the games. Is CSPAN still on the air? They never got into much color commentary which had to reduce costs.

But if it went that way it just wouldn’t be the same.

We NEED a professional jock sniffer shouting at us to appreciate the true drama of the game.

You perhaps have guessed at this point I’m not a pro sports fan.

    You would be right.

    Not since the baseball strike.

    Not since the football strike.

    Fuckem.

    We

  2. ESPN and the NFL are learning the hard way that all that Radical Leftist Bullshit from the rest of BoobTubeLand just doesn’t work in sports with real, patriotic people who want to watch competitive games instead of whining “victims” on Jerry Springer!

It’s called: KNOW YER AUDIENCE ASSHOLES!!!
You stupid fools pay TONS of money to consultants to figure that shit out and they have FAIL written all over them! What the hell is wrong with you?
    That’s why we ain’t watching!

  3. I artificially inflated their ratings by putting on the game, but walked away preferring to do other things than watch. Can you find it in your hearts to forgive me? It won’t happen again.

  4. On a somewhat related note: Ever notice that the countries in the world where soccer is the most popular sport are highly socialist? The world’s best soccer teams belong to the most socialist countries. Ever notice how the USA has emerged lately to become a major world power in the sport of soccer? This should scare the shit out of you. I recommend we support football, baseball, hockey, and even basketball. Support your local youth organizations in these sports.

  5. I simply refuse to be degraded, ridiculed and disrespected.
I don’t care what happens to the NFL or their sponsors, but I’ll not support them.

I suppose now I will be rightfully accused of oppressing a group of pampered, unpatriotic, racist millionaires.
Call me what you will, I don’t care.

  6. Lifelong Mariners and Shehawks fan. I long for the old days of Shehawk football: Jimmy Zorn, Stevie Largent, Jacob Green, Kenny Easley, Joe Nash, Efrain Herrera, Dr. Dan, etc. Their head coach, Jack Patera, would never stand for one of his players to sit during the anthem. Heck, he didn’t even allow his players to shake hands with the other team after games. Lousy coach, but at least he wasn’t a pussy.

  7. The fun part is watching (or reading about) Goodell and the owners coming up with different reasons why the polls and the ratings are showing steep declines, anything but the dipshit players dishonoring your flag and the game that gave them so much. Sooner or later (actually way sooner then they expect) the advertisers are going to demand cheaper ad rates, the networks will demand their contracts be renegotiated for lower rates, the owners are going to start to squeal because the revenue from television will crash and the next contract negotiation with the player association will lead to lower salary minimums and the high priced help will start screaming because the multi million dollars contracts will be a thing of the past. At some point reality will set in and these players that are sitting out the anthem will be forced to sit out the games until they learn respect. Oh there will be bitching and complaining from the left but the owners, the league and the players will realize that politics don’t belong on the field especially when it takes money out of their very, very deep pockets.

  8. lets see, disrespectful unpatriotic players, inept spineless management and putting an hour and fifteen minute game into a four hour time slot so you can inflict maximum boredom while generating megabucks worth of advertising. Sounds like a recipe for failure to me.
