(CNN) – An astute reporter for CNN affiliate KCRG-TV noticed there was something missing from Sen. Barack Obama’s wardrobe. He wasn’t wearing the common American flag lapel pin, a fashion fixture in post-9/11 politics used to display patriotism following the attacks.
“I decided I won’t wear that pin on my chest,” the Democratic presidential candidate told the reporter Tuesday in Iowa City, Iowa. “Instead, I’m going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great. Hopefully that will be a testimony to my patriotism.”

I am now wearing (and alternating days) two American flag pins – one in the shape of a cross and the other paired with an Israeli flag. I figure that ought to piss somebody off.

Anyone flying the American flag? Mine stays up 24/7, it’s under a light at night so it is the respected way to fly it. I have 2 magnetic flags on the back of my car. So far no one has stolen them, I’ve had them for about 3 years now. If you have a flag fly it!

I used to always wear a flag lapel pin but got out of the habit about 4-5 years ago but since Kapernick (sp) started this I have been wearing one every day and give them to any one who asks me why I’m wearing it. I am so PISSED about this protest crap.
The DNC forgot to showcase flags last year and had to scramble to get some in their photo ops. Fortunately Snopes saved the day and found some attendees wearing red, white and blue. And then they over compensated with flags galore although I’m pretty sure at the end of each DNC day you could find the ground littered with flags, tossed aside when the cameras left. Patriotism is so foreign to them they can’t even fake it when they need to.
Next up: The CBC takes a knee in Congress when the Pledge of Allegiance is said.
