Update: I would love to give the benefit of the doubt to the kneeler, but somehow I’m not in a benevolent mood. Taking a knee means something quite different then it did when Tebow was doing it, and everyone not in a coma the past year or so knows it.

Was this picture taken 2 years ago? Maybe.

But this picture does not attack any specific individual. Let’s call this the “kneel of the unknown youth.”

Given that attacks on the confederacy spread from statues of confederate soldiers to attacks upon Thomas Jefferson and Christopher Columbus, I think it’s fair to criticize this picture whatever the “reality” is. Besides, it’s more important to know what the left would think of it. And I am shit sure the left would see this picture and give that kid a salute. That’s all we need to know.

Spoxholes for the “kneelers” insist that this movement is not disrespectful to the armed forces.

Uh huh.

This is what happens when low IQ people start a movement, and then people who should know better follow along for political reasons. They end up looking really, really stupid.

Pro tip:

Stop being led around by the nose by people who really have no idea wtf they are talking about.

    Btw, if you ever plan on witnessing the changing of the guards, don’t dress as though you just came off the bus on a $35 fare. The level of respect that is required at that memorial begins with how you dress. Cripes!

  6. What’s the rules for which knee? I see most of them take a right knee, some take a left knee. Given the stupidity of the ordeal, there has to be a playbook for symbolism. Reason for the question, I left kneel to do groundwork since my right knee is perpetually in pain. Just don’t want to portray the wrong message is all, in my front yard exposed to the elements.

  14. I was blessed to be able to be a guardian on 3 Honor Flights and at the end of the trip, they are taken to Arlington for the Changing of the Guard. I am glad those honorable men and women of the Greatest Generation didn’t have to witness, on the other hand, they may have whipped his ass.

  19. I went to Arlington in May 1992 with a large group of people from my church for the National day of prayer. One of the places was we visited was the Tomb of the unknown soldier and witnessed the changing of the guard. It was a solemn ceremony on hallowed ground watching that ceremony, I’m glad I went. I also spent a whole afternoon all by myself at the National veterans cemetery walking thru the grounds of Arlington looking at all the gravestone of all the veterans buried there. It was a humbling experience, as a veteran it gave me pause to consider the sacrifice of all the brave men and women buried there. There is a veterans cemetery in Eastern Wash. just outside of Medical Lake on a small hill overlooking large wheat fields, it’s a beautiful site, this is where I want to be buried after I’m gone resting for eternity alongside my fellow veterans.

    That, and that pick sticking out the top of his ‘fro, during an event like that are a pretty good indication he has issues of disrespect.
    Don’t believe any of that works in his favor.

  30. I WAS THERE ONE TIME…..and a black woman sat down, and a black uniformed officer went over and told her to stand up, and she didn’t. Boy was he pissed. He had no choice but to ball his fists and walk away.

    I was just a little kid, and even I was offended that a grown adult refused to show respect. Nice values ya dumb broad.
