Man in Room Directly Below Paddock Was Ear Witness To the Massacre

Kansas businessman, Floyd Conrade, was startled when the shooting began. He thought it was fireworks. An avid shooter and 2A proponent, he soon realized this was gunfire.

A police scanner app on his phone confirmed that the shooting was one floor above his room.

He even heard the police blowing open Paddock’s door.

He said it was louder than the rifle fire.

  1. It would have been really bitchen if someone would have asked this guy for an approximate round count. Interesting enough there’s an X Marine from Texas that is also taking credit for guiding the PoPo to the shooter room. Nobody asked him for a round count either. He was suppose to be directly below the shooters room. That hotels a gun free zone. Read a lot of libs and some so called conservatives saying this is why concealed carry is useless. What if both these guys were armed with a hand gun?

  2. This guy said that while this was going on he stuck his head into the hallway and 4-5 SWAT guys signaled for him to get back in his room. Why the hell weren’t the SWAT guys busting down the shooters door?

  3. So he heard the shooting above him and he saw the debris falling and he backed away form the window and hid in the dark. Then he peeked out and saw the cops………WHY THE FUCK DIDN’T HE CALL THE POLICE AND TELL THEM THE SHOTS WERE COMING FROM THE ROOM ABOVE HIM?
    Just askin.

  4. I’m also one of those people who knock on your hotel room and tell you to stop making so much noise.
I’m a big guy and I carry a .357 magnum. But I think I would have shit my pants knocking on that guy’s door.
Hopefully I would have been awake enough to realize what was going on.
It takes me a good half hour to be ‘wide awake’ so I’m going to have to slow down from now on.
I also think swat should have a gas that can knock out the room occupants instantly.
Slide a small tube under the door or through the wall and gas the fucker.

  5. @joe6pak (at 11:34 pm): Because by then or soon thereafter the shooter had stopped firing. At that point, it might be assumed that he was a suicide, but why risk more LEO casualties in case there was a booby trap or an ambush?

I can find no fault with the responders’ actions.

  6. joe6pak, and others: you have to realize the leo’s saw the windows from the outside, and counted 33 floors. However, Paddock was on the 34th floor. Because hotels don’t have a 13th floor.

  7. I’ve got to believe that hotel has a master panel that shows the status and the location of smoke detectors and whether or not they have been disabled or warning of smoke in the room.
