Elton John Calls Out Georgia Rep. for ‘Horrific’ HIV Comment.
Elton John has jumped into the American culture wars in response to comments from a Georgia state representative suggesting a quarantine might be necessaryto stem the spread of HIV, Politico reports. In a statement released by the Elton John AIDS Foundation, the legendary British singer-songwriter lashed out at Rep. Betty Price, a former anesthesiologist, for asking at a study committee meeting last week if there are “any methods legally that we could do that would curtail the spread” of HIV. “I don’t want to say the ‘quarantine’ word, but I guess I just said it,” Price said. John replied, “As a doctor and elected official from a state where people are still contracting HIV at an alarming rate, Mrs. Price should know better than to demonize people and perpetuate myths that stigmatize people living with HIV.”
Price’s comments upset more than just John, and she was forced to walk back them back. “I do not support a quarantine in this public health challenge and dilemma of undertreated HIV patients,” she said Saturday. “I do, however, wish to light a fire under all of us with responsibility in the public health arena.” That was apparently not enough for John, who wrote in his statement Monday that Price’s words “smack of a dark time when there was little or no information about HIV and people were afraid of each other. Today, thanks to scientific advancements, growing acceptance and love, people living with HIV are living longer, healthier lives,” the Hill reports. Last month, Price’s husband, Tom, resigned from his position at the Department of Health and Human Services after reports appeared of his using tax-payer-funded private jets for government travel.

Obviously Sir Elton PokeAss never learned any history of the past 100-200 years. People, households, entire villages were quarantined for such things as chickenpox, measles, THE PLAGUE, scarlet fever, TB.
And as for the “growing acceptance and love”, that’s part of the problem. No one is treating HIV/AIDS as the preventable disease that it is. Not to say that you have to shun people with HIV/AIDS, but DAMN, this disease could be nipped in a generation by keeping your zipper zipped if you know you have the disease and/or until marriage.

Aids was a horrible thing for the U.S Gays , thousands dying with no cure in sight. Today it’s a manageable disease and so they are sticking their dick’s in anything that smells of shit ! They aren’t worried about it now , and that’s why the numbers are up !!!

If a sensible quarantine had been announced when HIV was first identified in the early 1989s, when Patient Zero ( the gay Canadian flight attendant) had only managed to spread it to a handful of gays in NYC and LA, that handful would have been the only casualties and this African mutated virus would have died out. Millions of future victims would have been spared.
But the Left saw a new opportunity to undermine the West, and the “right” to infect others was invented into law.
I assume Elton is infected. He sucks, and without Bernie Taupin all his later stuff is just Muzak for gay bars.

Knowingly infecting someone with this life-threatening disease is no less than attempted murder and the penalties should be no less. Quarantine might eventually be the only thing that prevents one of these butt*fokkers from donating infected blood that’s then administered to your wife or child.
