Before RnR, all my favorites were black.
Rap is crap.
Sam Cooke formost, Jackie Wilson, King Cole, Wilson Pickett, Chuck Berry, Otis Redding, Fats.
Roy Orbison, yeah, he wasn’t black, he was if you closed your eyes. The angels are taking lessons from Roy.
RIP Fats.

Another American icon gone. This black life mattered.
From what I understand blacks rarely make it into their 80’s. My mother was born in 29 and is still alive.
And very active
I’ll be lucky to see 65
Meanwhile, Chubby Checker’s getting nervous.

Maybe he’ll join B.B.’s band.
Hopefully his pizza chain will stay open. But seriously, an iconic musician whose memory will live on through his recordings.
One of the greatest and best things to come out of New Orleans. You’ve always been a favorite. My God Bless You and live in peace, eternally. Thankfully, we can still enjoy your recordings. Amen.
