I went to see Bill Sauce Boss Wharton in a little place on River St.
He made gumbo, I have had better gumbo but the music was awesome, if you like slide guitar.
The gumbo pot was bigger than the audience.

My son and I would often listen to this on Pee-tee’s Cajun-Zydeco Show on the local commie radio station early Saturday mornings on the way to our waterfowl lease. It would put you into a trance and seemed to take up almost the whole hour’s drive from west Houston to Eagle Lake.
