Trump’s Conservative Critics Concede: He’s Winning

Pinko did an entire radio show the other night dedicated to the original National Review “Ream Team” that was compiled to try and sink Trump (which would have ushered in Hillary.)

His view is that no one on that list should ever be listened to ever again, forever banished, not worthy of a voice amongst reasonable people who knew what the binary choice was.

He has a good argument,

NEVER Trump means NEVER Trump. So no matter how well Trump does, no matter how conservative he governs, they have 2 options – continue to be NEVER Trump out of pigheadedness, or say, “I’m sowwy,” and come back with head lowered.

Pinko says to kick the suddenly converted in the nuts and say, “see ya, dopey. NEVER means NEVER. Or are you saying you are unprincipled? (using their own rhetoric against them) If so, you can’t be trusted. Buh Bye.”

It’s a sound argument.

There are those in the Never Trump camp that have quadrupled down, now saying they hope the republicans lose the midterms. (Can a savvy reader drop a link to this in the comments. I cannot find this story as of this posting. But trust me, I read it.) These people were never on the right, they were people comfortable with how DC operated and made plenty of money off of the old guard RINO system.

So, what do we do with the “Mea Culpa” Never Trump?

I see one pundit who used the term “el Trumpo” as a term of derision who is starting to pivot a bit and playing it off as if it is a term of endearment. (Although his audience is lost and needs to be institutionalized, still saying that Trump is a New York liberal and they warned us. At some point they really look like morons, no?)

*Dave Blount? What do you do with a guy like this? A year in, Trump shows no sign of being a “secret progressive,” yet his site cannot say a positive thing about the president. They ignore the good stuff, and pounce whenever there is a sliver that can be spun to make it look like their dire warnings have come to fruition.

One gets the feeling that they get madder and madder the more Trump does very good things for this country. That’s a toxicity that is unhealthy, and they should really consider a new line of work, like stomping tulips, or something.

How sick is it to be sitting around hoping Trump does progressive things just so you’re vindicated?

How do you feel about NeverTrump and are they welcome back?

(I say yes. We need every able body, even if you don’t like them. Let’s call them our useful former idiots.)

    That idiot that uses the term “el Trumpo” seems to be trying to turn his minions back to (at least at times) supporting Trump. You’d need to be a total idiot not to see what Trumps doing. But he might qualify. His minions certainly do.

  4. Everyone is allowed their own opinions based on what they know at the time. Opinions can change as new information becomes available. That is life. It still amazes me when I look back at what Trump said during his campaign and what I learned about his history by simply searching the internet, that some people would not open their minds to the possibility that what he was doing was sincere.
    There are probably some who may be contrite and honestly reject their previous flawed attitude toward Trump. If they clearly say “ya know, I was wrong” I can accept their change of heart.
    But, those who doubled down and are still “never Trump” (especially political pundits whose careers rely on investigation and reason) and can’t see the facts due to their willful blind hate toward Trump – F’em.

  5. I told Daddy Manderin the other day that before PRESIDENT Trump’s second term is over he will have won even more people over. I am so glad I picked a TOTAL winner this election and my old time Christian friends whom I used to have a total gas with and who confusingly latched onto liberalism somewhere while we were apart for many years have gone over the deep end since PRESIDENT Trump was elected really picked a total loser bound-for-Hell candidate this election cycle. Maybe PRESIDENT Trump will wind up winning a few of them over the next 8 years. But at this rate, it doesn’t look good for them. Godspeed ya all…

  6. If Hillary had won and was doing everything Trump is doing for the country, I would say I was wrong and cheer her on. It isn’t that hard to change your opinion when you have more to go on. These people are prisoners of their own egos to the point of betraying everything they were supposed to stand for.

    Super Spic. Pretty fitting. The thing is, that place still kneels at the alter of Ted Cruz. For instance, they currently have front a center a story about how Rand Paul attacked Tednato (I can’t believe these idiots are still calling him that). If you read the exchange between Cruz and Paul it’s freaken hillariuos. The Right Poop will be shocked when Ted Cruz finally discovers them and tells them to grow up and piss off. Every commenter their would suck his— well you get the point.
    I did not like Cruz during the primaries. But he’s served our President well, for the most part, after the election.

    That place banned me. Boo Hoo. But the thing is I can’t remember the last time I commented there. Full disclosure I was band about 18 months ago, and then I wasn’t.
