This is what the elites think of the working class

Downtrend-

The president of Adams State University has been placed on leave amid accusations that she bullied faculty and staff, failed to stem declining student enrollment and mocked blue-collar workers with an offensive Halloween costume that sparked an uproar when photos began circulating on campus.

Beverlee McClure, who became the university’s first female president in April 2015, was placed on leave last week by the school’s board of trustees, leaving the small San Luis Valley school struggling financially and under probation by a national accreditation organization, and critics angry — and still fearful — in her wake.

McClure, hired for her business acumen, has been attacked by detractors as being abrasive and combative. Critics say her dismissive attitude toward anyone but those in her inner circle was put on display at an Oct. 26, 2016, Halloween party. McClure attended dressed as an obese plumber and outfitted in a prosthetic fat suit and rotting buck teeth.

“It just showed her contempt for the working people in the community in Alamosa, which is very blue-collar and working class,” said former faculty member Danny Ledonne. “But that is McClure. She cultivated this campus culture of bullying and backstabbing, and anyone who didn’t agree with her or her group were thrown under the bus.”

  1. Would ignore the slight if it weren’t for all the Progs insisting only they can hold the keys to accountability in Halloween costumes.
Sounds like this ‘educator’ hero worships Jane Sanders, another idiot ‘educator’ who ran a school into the ground with self serving policies.

  2. Luckily for the proud people of the San Luis valley (native Americans, 4th generation Mexican/Spanish heritage, Irish miners, welsh farmers, Germans etc…) there are many places that her next encounter will be with the wily coyote….

  3. I don’t quite know what to make of this. On the one hand, I have seen how much damage an incompetent administrator can do to a college or university. On the other hand, Dr. McClure is a conservative who has been targeted by progressives in the past.

Most colleges and universities are a nest of snakes. It doesn’t matter how small or how large. Posturing, backstabbing, brown-nosing, lying, cronyism, etc. are ever-present.

Incompetency and evil exists throughout the political spectrum, left to right. I need more information before forming an opinion on this.

Whatever one thinks of the Halloween costume, it is certainly not a valid reason to suspend someone.

  4. @ACParker — “Whatever one thinks of the Halloween costume, it is certainly not a valid reason to suspend someone.”

Unenlightened me would have agreed with you on this, but I’ve finally figured out that we are at war against the Left in this country. As the song says, “We didn’t start the fire..” but now Americans, real Americans, must put it out. Citizenship doesn’t confer E pluribus unum, whether native or foreign born. Only the simple belief that we are one people under God and our God-given constitution, does. If one is actively working to create fractures among our people, to “educate” students in universities to disdain their fellow Americans, firing is the least that should happen to them.

    That’s how I feel.

Also, if she’s a conservative she should go after a different demographic if she wants to lash out with a demeaning costume.
did she think she was in safe harbor by going after the working class that most likely didn’t attend a university?

Complicated world. Hard to navigate. It shouldn’t be this way.

  6. Fur, I’m taking the “what have you done for me lately” approach. If you call yourself a conservative, an American, then don’t confuse people with your clever editorial activities. Be straight-forward, be authentic. It takes less energy for everyone involved. Doing otherwise is what makes it hard to navigate.

Matthew 5:37 New King James Version (NKJV)

But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

  7. I don’t know the woman’s motives for choosing that costume, but if we are willing to destroy her career over it, we are no different than the trigger-word obsessed SJWs, or ultra-orthodox believers who will kill when they perceive blasphemy (I repeat myself).

Incompetence, plagiarism, corruption, theft, insubordination; those are reasons to suspend or terminate employment, not a Halloween costume, a tweet, or a Facebook like or share.
