I’d Rather Be a 1 Percenter

Only 4% Of The Population Can Pass This Confusing Spelling Quiz On Their First Try.

I’m a teriffic spellar, realy I am. No, I am.

It might not seem that way when you read the site and see all sorts of grammatical errors. Those are Gremlins doing that, everyone that blogs knows about the Gremlins. They come in and change things when you’re sleeping just to make you look stupid.

That’s why I never sleep.

I’m not sure what “passing” is, but it doesn’t matter because—>

That’s right!

Going to bed now.

  1. Hmmmm, I got first place as well. Both of my parents were adamant that I learn English properly. That and I had an Aunt who was an English teacher as well.

  5. I aced it — and my spelling is getting worse. (It is different between knowing the correct spelling when you see it and getting it right when you are typing.)

I am grateful for spellcheck — and google.

  6. So if you have the correct spelling staring at you, how diffecult is it to pick the right one?

Aced it and in grade school I usually always got nothing but “D’s” on the report card. Hated school until college and found my area of expertise. Majored in Booze, Broads & Drugs with special honors of being asking to leave the university or they would press charges.

  7. Aced it!! You’re at the top of your game!!

I get really irritated on certain sites where those that are trying to be so educated and put others down for their opinion, can’t spell worth $hit! I enjoy copying and pasting their remark then fix all their spelling errors. Just my way of showing them how stupid they are. I would never do that here though, I rarely see misspellings here now that we have the “edit” button.

  8. I Hogged it.

JK, I aced it. None of those words were remotely challenging. I got knocked out of State spelling bee in high school by “grosgrain”. Now that’s a tough one.

  9. I aced it too – but, like Whitey, had parents that demanded proficiency in English. mother who was an English and Latin teacher and old enough that schools were still real in my day. Skills gotten mostly via osmosis…

  10. Aced it.
I have always been a good speller.
Math? Now that’s a different matter. I can figure out the answer in my head but can’t show my work.
I would fail a math test.
Good thing IOTW isn’t a math site!
