DC: A longtime lawyer for former President George W. Bush plans to run for U.S. Senate in Minnesota as a Democrat, according to a filing with the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

Painter, 56, is listed a Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in the state of Minnesota on the FEC website and has raised nearly $15,000 as of March 31.   1. This lawyer turned his coat years ago. He has just decided to come out of the Liberal Closet so that he can appeal to the Social Democrats and Progressives that won’t vote for him anyway. Suing President Trump and losing will only get you so many votes in Minnesota. Maybe Jeb Bush will endorse him. That will work wonders for his campaign.

  3. Ethics+Lawyer+Bush in the same sentence? Say no more. He could run on the MAGA ticket and I still wouldn’t trust him. He’s been the NeverTrump mouthpiece for CNN/MSNBC since 1/20/17, espousing his interpretation of Trump’s “numerous ethical” violations. Funny he seems to have overlooked those of his previous boss.
