DC:
The vice president of student affairs at Providence College has issued a restraining order against a student for posting flyers that educate students on traditional Catholic marriage, The Ocean State Current reported Wednesday.
Michael Smalanskas, a student at Providence College, has been barred from campus and given a restraining order from Vice President for Student Affairs Kristine Goodwin for posting literature on traditional Catholic marriage and his alleged behavior following the incident.
Goodwin spoke at a progressive march that took place in response to the display.
Vice President Goodwin alleges that the student stared at her for roughly five seconds at the school’s commencement mass. She also contends he shouted her name at another crowded mass on Saturday, condemning her for her role in sparking the controversy that led to threats made against him by progressive activists.
“While his words were not expressly threatening, his actions toward me have escalated quickly,” Goodwin wrote in a complaint against Smalanskas.
Goodwin was also concerned about the Smalanskas’ parents, as his father is a police officer.
“I am also afraid of Mr. Smalanskas’s parents, especially his father, who has access to weapons,” she stated.
See how she insinuates that “access to weapons” make the defendant potentially more threatening? This is where the gun stuff leads, to sorta like an associative trait that a person owning firearms is deemed a threat by society. Will there one day be questions on generic employment applications in regards to firearm ownership and if so what impact will it have on candidate eligibility?
What’s happening to Catholic schools? Is it the influence of the Marxist Pope?
“Yes, Vice President Goodwin, I have access to weapons. Specifically, in my basement I have an iron maiden, a rack, a wheel, two thumbscrews, several whips, and a brazier with red-hot irons. The same sort of weapons used by the Catholics in the Spanish Inquisition. Would you like a guided tour?”
Now, THAT would be threatening. A five-second eyeballing is at worst uncomfortable but we all know that a snowflake’s discomfort is always somebody else’s fault and done on purpose.

I hope the father sues her for defamation and slander. I hope the college pays big money. And I hope those few alumni and current families that are paying the freight that actually believe in Catholicism withdraw their financial support.
All colleges and universities, public and private, have been under the same pressure from the left. The system assures that staff positions are filled by graduates who have been thoroughly indoctrinated and accustomed to things like trigger warnings, safe spaces, meditation rooms, pronoun cards, etc. They may not actually agree with it, but they have learned to go along to get along.
The same can be said of the student body. Most are not really into SJW extremism, but they have learned that life is much simpler if you keep your mouth shut, so the pushy loudmouths tend to be the only voice on campus.
Many students have never had to think any of this through, as they have been raised, and live, in the echo chamber of the left. Decades ago, the right was mainstream and students went to university to be challenged by a few leftist firebrands. Now the university is a safe space for the new mainstream. Students are no longer challenged in their beliefs. The few conservative faculty are muzzled and applicants for new faculty positions are aggressively screened for any right of center, or even right of extreme left views.
@ Claudia- This more or less began with Second Vatican Council – 1967.
But yes, the current pope is an A hole.
I saw John Paul II in ’78 at MSG. Still have the tic stubb.
NOW that was a Pope. A MAJOR factor in bringing down and exposing the commies.

This woman is a LIBERATED CATHOLIC! What that means is that even if you show the exact section of The Holy Bible or the Saint Joseph Baltimore Catechism forbidding whatever they are doing, they will claim that is not what it says. Trust me, this broad is already an expert in gaslighting and screwing with your mind. The best way to deal with someone in academia, is to disrupt their revenue stream. Start talking to the Aluni and ask them to withhold funds from them.
Then start making this college follow the Magisterium of the Church. I’ve had it with Vatican 2 and all the crap that followed.
That administrator is about as Catholic as Richard Dawkins.
