Woman Who Survived the Famous Everest Disaster Dies In Freak Fall Down Stairs

Charlotte Fox, 61, was a survivor of the horrible blizzard that fell on Mt. Everest as her team, Mountain Madness, was descending from the summit in 1996.

There were fatalities.

She survives that, and in a rotten bit of irony she dies from a fall while descending a simple staircase.

RIP.

  1. “She was married to Reese Martin, who was killed in a paragliding accident in 2004.“
I want to say something funny, but I probably shouldn’t.

    What do you say?
Her last 22-years were a gift.

  2. The same thing happened to the pilot of the Memphis Belle in 2004.

The pilot of the famous B-17, Bob Morgan, endured many dangerous missions over Germany dodging fighter planes and flak only to die by having a fall and breaking his neck.

    Tragic and ironic.

  3. Edmund Hillary survived his e legendary Everest exploit, only to have some woman who claims she was named after him fall down the stairs over and over again. Freaky stuff.
