Why is the IG report on Clinton email probe taking so long?

President Trump wonders why there have been multiple delays on the inspector general’s report on the FBI’s handling of the Clinton email investigation.

  1. I’ve been asking what’s taking so long for a while now. I expect President Trump has enough clout to get some answers. This was originally expected in January.

  2. @Txn4Evr because we have a two tiered legal system and until the Clintons and at least a half dozen or more are doing hard time that is what we are stuck with.

  3. Tell the Justice Dept if the IG report is not on his desk at noon on Wed.
The. whole department his.under arrest and Marshall will escort them to jail,
pending judicial hearing. Could take several weeks.

  4. Who knows? This is parlor games to the DC set.
I fully expect the report will reveal admin officials “misbehaved”, “acted out”, “displayed behavior unbecoming to LE agents”, “disappointing” and other strong reprimands.

Considering only 2 Republicans and 1 democrat showed up for Priestep’s interview, my hope for anything stronger is waning.

  5. Some think they’re just making sure all the details are covered so it’s a water-tight, impeccable case. I can accept that; we’re talking a vast cabal that’s entrenched at all levels – lots of people and lots of documents. This wasn’t supposed to even be happening, after all. I think they’re trying to manage the implosion, delaying the inevitable. Once a few people go down it will all go down quickly. The Left will truly consume itself.

  6. E E: I was also upset that only three members of the Congressional Committee showed up for the hearing with FBI Director of Counterintelligence Priestap, until I read that only three members were directed to attend the hearing. This was evidently done to prevent the details from being leaked. Also, the staff lawyers usually know more of the details than the Committee Members and can do a better job of eliciting answers from witnesses. Priestap was in front of the Committee for seven hours, so I think he was thoroughly grilled. The Conservative Treehouse has this story.

  7. Thanks Marco. I saw the update this morning. When partial (filtered) info is released, altered via social media at lightening speed, the full details eventually become known at TCTH.

Yes, I knew staff attys interview/depose witnesses and thank goodness 😅. Could you imagine if it were left to members of congress?? Almost as frightening as relying on high school dropout diversity hires directing air traffic.

Tucker had Rep Lobiando R, NJ on last night and the congressman acknowledged they’ve know about this for 2 years but have been unable to do anything about it and closed with, “that’s why we need your help Tucker”. WTH?

  8. E E: I can remember writing on this site back in January and March that the OIG’s Report was going to be released within the month. Now, it has been delayed again while it gets reviewed by more attorneys. I have to believe that the delays have been occasioned by the depth and breath of this conspiracy. If it is as big as suspected, a lot of lofty heads are going to be detached from their corrupt bodies. This is the biggest political scandal in our country’s history. If it is exposed properly, it will take down what is left of the Osmidgen Administration’s Leftist Legacy. And Clapper, Brennan, Comy, Lynch, Rice, Powers, Farkus, Rhodes, and a lot of lower level operatives could be prosecuted. Whatever is left of President Elect Hillary Rodham Clinton’s reputation should be completely destroyed in a few weeks once the next Report is released. There could be hundreds of civil suits that wreck all these rodents’ bank accounts and make this a true warning for several generations to come.
On the other hand, we might all be madder than hell in a few weeks.
