Norwegian Lawmakers Nominate Trump For Nobel Peace Prize

DC: Two Norwegian lawmakers representing the populist party in the country’s legislature have nominated President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize after his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

The lawmakers told their local media that Trump has “taken a huge and important step in the direction of the disarmament, peace and reconciliation between North and South Korea.” The nomination comes after Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway took a swipe at former President Barack Obama’s own Nobel Peace Prize saying “look, the last president was handed Nobel Peace Prize. This president is actually going to earn it.”  MORE HERE

  1. Ideally President Trump will win the award and then refuse it, characterizing it as meaningless. Results, not phony awards are what matters.

What a slap to Obama’s hyperinflated ego that would be.

  2. You mean they finally got something right. This won’t sit well with the loons.
Like grinding broken glass in their eyes. Haha
Looks like he’s going to have a very eventful birthday! MAGA

  3. Why would anyone want “Barry’s award”? It’s meaningless. The Nobel committee needs Trump more than he needs their prize. It’s their only way to get their reputation back. I hope Trump declines

  4. I’m gloating at just how much that announcement has got to be gnawing at the egotistical Obozo. I hope he loses it and explodes into one of his childish tirades for our viewing pleasure.

  5. If Trump does accept this award I would be willing to make a bet that he donates the cash prize to veterans or some other philanthropic cause. Booty boy may have I don’t recall Obozo donating caca.

  6. Lazlo has advised the President to make the following announcement upon being informed of winning the Nobel Peace Prize:
“This award was given to the last President for doing absolutely nothing. That action has rendered the award meaningless. I refuse to accept it and advise the Nobel board to take a ten year hiatus on awarding another one until they figure out how to pour piss out of a boot.”

  7. These comments are so cool. I think, if awarded it, he should reject it outright. That would be a first, and he would be remembered for it far longer that for winning it. If they give him the medal, send it back via snail mail.

However, he is a bit egotistical, and will likely accept, if awarded it.

  8. I respectfully disagree. More deserving people than not have won not only the peace prize, but other Nobel prizes, since the inception of the award. Obama was one of the glaring anomalies. POTUS Trump should graciously accept the award if he should be given it. If he is successful in disarming NoKo and making the DMZ in the Korean peninsula a thing of the past, his acts will stand in stark and convicting contrast to that pretender and the people who shamefully pandered to him. If he is successful, the Nobel prize will not be what he is remembered for, anyway. Anymore than POTUS Reagan and the wall in Germany is.

BTW: Whatever happened to all those hippy dippy Leftists, with their roots in the ’60’s, who held vigils, holding their candles aloft, and singing “All we are sayyyyinngggggg is give peace a chancccccccce”? You’d think they’d be ecstatic over POTUS Trump’s efforts, wouldn’t you? The same ones who were strangely uncritical of obama’s ventures in the ME for eight years. Hypocrites.

  9. PHenry — Well, you make a strong case against it, that’s true. But consider that, being The Disruptor, POTUS Trump may have an opportunity to also disrupt the sham that has been made of Alfred Nobel’s original intent. Something to ponder, anyway.
