Congressman Paul Gossar Presses For U.S. Intervention in Tommy Robinson Case

Breitbart-

Speaking just days after he entered a Congressional statement on the treatment of UK activist-journalist and former street organiser Tommy Robinson, Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar (R) told Breitbart London that he hopes the U.S. government will intervene over the case, which has been subject to reporting restrictions and widespread speculation in the United Kingdom.

Congressman Gosar expressed his concern about the arrest of Mr Robinson on Tuesday, noting “I am well aware that England does not share our free speech values” and calling the English court system “part of the problem” in comments that have gone viral on Twitter.

Rep. Gosar made clear his concern for Robinson’s health and safety, in comments that come among a number of claims that he has recently been transferred, leaving his life at risk. The Congressman said: “…the personal safety of an individual, you’ve got to take that into consideration if you’re looking at the application of law.

“And his persecution and jail sentence, I think, is disgusting… from our standpoint here, we see the inadequacy of the prosecution of Mr Robinson… The immediate concern I have is for the safety of Mr Tommy Robinson, for where he is. I think there has to be a change of venue, because he is due safety, and not to be placed where his life is in jeopardy.”

  1. Trump could bring down the Theresa May government if he wanted to, by pushing all of their Intelligence skulduggery into the limelight. I don’t think they want that. It might be the best leverage we have.

And I don’t want to hear from the limey elites about Trump meddling in their business, when that is all they did to us for three years, at least.

  2. Good!
Embarrass the holy hell out of the British Crown and MAKE them do the right thing.
Hell, treat them like we do with any other human rights violators and publicity name, shame, and revoke from entry that British judge AND the police officers that arrested him. They should never be allowed entry to the United States.
Let’s review their favored nation status and other things by putting to sleep that propaganda jargon of a “special relationship”. It goes only one-way!

  3. Liberty, free speech, right to protect your life and property are all but gone in the once great britain.

I commend my ancestors for their foresight to leave the land of subjects, royalty and oppression.

  4. This is serious. We do not want an Otto Warmbier result. John Bolton knows the stakes and that the jihad is ongoing in the UK. Maybe AFDI (action of some kind?) can help keep Tommy R alive?

  5. I wish our politicians showed as much concern about U.S. citizens as they do about a British guy. While I agree that the whole Tommy Robinson situation looks like they jailed a guy they don’t want making noise and then sent him to a prison where another prisoner is likely to kill him, I think American politicians should concern themselves with American citizens. Build a wall to protect us. Gosar’s from Tucson, a liberal part of the state. He’s pulling his punches so he can get re-elected. Speak up about our invasion Dr. Gosar!

  6. i am praying for him daily that when those muslims look on him in that prison that they see the angels of the Lord surrounding him and quake in their boots.

  7. His safety IS a concern, a very serious one.

But did he violate his probation he was on? Yes.

And did he plead guilty to violating the probation, he was being charged with? Yes.

Why would he do EITHER of those things??

    LAW comes first, then emotion.

Aww… You’re trying to convince us LEO isn’t one gang banging army playing the “What can we get away with today?” game. Just like all the rest. And nobody would ever interact with one super special magical mob sprinkled with pixie dust and smelling like unicorn farts, just like they interact with all the other mob armies. Well, bless your heart.

The limey collectivist law placing Robinson’s life in danger for standing on a corner and talking on his phone is an ass. Robinson is similar to Ayaan Hirsi Ali and thus should be granted asylum in the US.

  10. I wonder if President Trump and/or Kongress can make Robinson a Special Ambassador for the US, with all the rights, privileges, responsibilities, AND IMMUNITY thereof.
If that were to happen, anyone that messes with Tommy would be messing with the full force and weight of the US Gubberment.

An ambassador to the government that helped plan and execute the attempted coup against the government that is now granting diplomatic immunity to the person the first government wants to have somebody else kill for them? Just like both of them helped each other abduct and “rendition” dozens of others so others could kill them creatively?

It’s a plan. I won’t… oh, you know the rest.
