I have the pleasure of knowing Reboot in “real life.” He is a friend. We’ve talked often about his military career.
I’m a documentary watcher. It’s my favorite genre. When I spoke with Reboot it turned out I knew who he was. He was featured in a military documentary, one that is very intense.
Danny is in hospice. His battle with cancer needs our prayers.
I don’t know what else to say.
I’m never quite sure what to say in these situations either.
May you rest comfortably and without pain. Know that your service to the country is highly appreciated.
Oh, this is hard to take. I’m so sorry, Reboot. Prayers for you and your family.
Prayers are with him. He is a true Patriot and fellow sailor.
Very sorry to hear this.
May God keep you in the hollow of His hand, Reboot.
Our God is a God of battles, and we’re told He has His own book that lists them. He is always speaking to us in His Word, so what is He saying to you Reboot?
David came to the battle with Goliath and remarked to his brothers who hassled him “is there not a cause”? The Hebrew means “word”, so God had communicated to David about that situation before he got there. When David approached Goliath he said “the battle is the Lords”, and in those words, in that concept is every deliverance and every healing that man could ever need. Is there not a cause, there is always a Word and on that we’re good to advance.
God bless you Reboot, God will send you His Word.
Sending my prayers to you, Reboot. God is fighting for you. Rest easy.
Eternal Father, strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
Who bidd’st the mighty ocean deep,
Its own appointed limits keep.
Oh hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea! Amen.
Eternal Father, lend Thy grace To
those with wings who fly thro’ space,
Thro wind and storm, thro’ sun and rain,
Oh bring them safely home again.
Oh Father, hear an humble prayer,
For those in peril in the air! Amen.
Oh Trinity of love and pow’r,
Our brethren shield in danger’s hour,
From rock and tempest, fire and foe,
Protect them where so e’er they go.
Thus evermore shall rise to Thee
Glad hymns of praise from land and sea! Amen.

Reboot, I am so sorry you’re going through this. God bless you. And I pray you are free of pain.
I am so sorry to hear about this. The last I knew, his prognosis seemed to be on the hopeful side and treatment was proceeding along as expected. Obviously that is no longer the case.
If thoughts and prayers can help, he certainly has mine.
Damn, I hate cancer with all my being.
May the Holy Spirit guide you Reboot and i ask that the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ annoint you now.
Strength will come through Praise. And what carter said.
Our community can’t afford to lose any more Patriots.

I’m praying for you as well. Cancer sucks.
My prayers are with you Reboot and I add mine to the growing list of kind sentiments for you here.
Something you might want to consider is taking Curcumin – it has cancer fighting properties and there are a good many anecdotes of it helping people that have exhausted “traditional” treatments. Here are a couple of links to articles about a woman in the UK that used it to cure blood cancer. She took high doses of it for a few weeks (8 grams or 8,000 mg daily) spread out over the day.

If you try it, you will want to get an actual curcumin supplement rather than just a turmeric one. Curcumin is considered to be the active ingredient in turmeric (which is the main spice in curried dishes). Good curcumin supplements contain a standardized and concentrated amount of curcumins. It is absorbed better if it contains a black pepper extract called piperine (or bioperine or similar names). If you can’t find it with the black pepper extract, you can always use black pepper with it in some fashion when you take it. Some people make a tea with it. The one at the link below is a pretty good formulation – if you can’t get this specific one, you can use the information on the label to find one that is similar.

Again, best wishes and will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Prayers and Blessings to reboot and his family.
Very sorry to hear this. PHenry said it better than I.
Eternal Father, strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
Who bidd’st the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea!
O Christ! Whose voice the waters heard
And hushed their raging at Thy word,
Who walked’st on the foaming deep,
And calm amidst its rage didst sleep;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea!
Most Holy Spirit! Who didst brood
Upon the chaos dark and rude,
And bid its angry tumult cease,
And give, for wild confusion, peace;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea!
O Trinity of love and power!
Our brethren shield in danger’s hour;
From rock and tempest, fire and foe,
Protect them wheresoe’er they go;
Thus evermore shall rise to Thee

— The Sailor’s Hymn
I throughly enjoyed his jagged edged, honest, and brutally blunt commentary. My wife an I have lost loved ones recently and feel his loss too. Rest high on that mountain Reboot!
BFH, what is the documentary that reboot is a part of. We don’t need to know who he is exactly but having a connection to it would make it more meaningful. Those guys were all so brave it is incredible.
Reboot. I am adding you to my daily prayer for President Trump and America.
Hang in there Sailor. God Bless.
Prayers from my family.
Lifting up Reboot and his family in prayer.
May your journey be worry and pain free.
Cancer took its toll on me and ravaged my body but it not touch my soul.
Prayers.
Reboot, I’m sorry for your pain and suffering. Here is my prayer for you.
Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes toward the mountains; whence shall help come to me?
My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. May he not suffer
your foot to slip; may he slumber not who guards you: Indeed he neither slumbers nor sleeps, the guardian of Israel.
The Lord is your guardian; the Lord is your shade; he is beside you at your right hand. The Lord will guard you from all evil; he will guard your life.
The Lord will guard your coming and your going, both now and forever.
1 John 4:16
We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us. God is
love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
May the peace that passeth all understanding be with you now Reboot.
If your trust is in God, your faith is well founded.
You are in my prayers.
Prayers your way, Reboot. If you were featured in the documentary i think you were, we may have a common acquaintance. Be strong; get well.
As we humbly pray for our brother Danny (Reboot),
O ALMIGHTY God, the Lord of life and death, of sickness and health; Regard our supplications, we humbly beseech thee; and; as thou hast thought fit to visit us for our sins with great sickness and mortality, in the midst of thy judgment, O Lord, remember mercy. Have pity upon us miserable sinners, and withdraw from us the grievous sickness with which we are afflicted. May this thy fatherly correction have its due influence upon us, by leading us to consider how frail and uncertain our life is; that we may apply our hearts unto that heavenly wisdom which in the end will bring us to everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
“Saint Peregrine, we confidently turn to you in times of suffering and illness, we ask for your powerful intercession before our God in Heaven, to protect us from all cancerous diseases and illnesses.”
Patron Saint Peregrine
prayer to Reboot
With tears in my eyes and a knowing of this, I want to tell you, Danny, to fear not. As it is written from God many times. Fear not, my wonderful friend. Remember you are a child of the Almighty Father, Abba, who knows your name and who knows your concerns. Please write here if you can. And if not, happy trails brother until we see you on the other side. Thank you for everything. In your own uncertainty the the horrible symptoms you were experiencing, you buoyed my spirit and calmed my fears.
We Love You,
AbigailAdams & Geoff C. The Saltine
A childhood friend went through the same and I was blessed to have known him. He always lived life to the fullest, some said bounder-line crazy. He was always a true friend. One morning early, he said take me outside, “I want to see the sunrise and have a smoke”. He was taken outside to fulfill his wish. The morning of his service was overcast and cloud covered. We spread his ashes in the ocean as he wished. Within minutes, in the distance, the clouds opened, to accept him. Bless you Reboot and God speed.
Reboot you old scutter, you rest easy, now.
How could I possibly add anything to the absolutely wonderful comments, encouragement, prayers, and blessings here? Reboot, I pray that you’re able to see them and to feel the strength that radiates from each one. Thank you for your service to our country and may the God of all comfort be with you and your family. See you on the other side…
Mr. Reboot- may God have mercy on you and your family. May your life be filled with peace.
My Prayers annd thoughts go out to Reboot, who will be rewarded in this life and the next for Caring for others.
Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. and 11:3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.
Accordingly Reboot, the entire iotw family, although unseen, are with you in spirit. 🙏❤️ Peace.
You know sumptin BFH/MJA/ the lot of youse. The people here at IOTW are really good people. Just an observation. Even though some of us cuss on occasion

@Vietvet – I hate cancer, too. It robbed me of my wonderful husband and caused suffering to two dear friends. Praying for God to free us of this scourge.
Prayers of comfort and peace for you and your family. I hope you can stick around for a bit, if you can manage it. I am so sad to read this. Thank you for everything.
May the good Lord be with you Reboot! PRAYERS ON THE WAY!
Reboot, (i’ve always loved your moniker) May Peace be with you…
And to all of the wonderful folks here.
Dear Reboot, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Fight, fight, fight.
Reboot, you have been Blessed and have been a Blessing to others.
Life on earth is temporary for us all. Life with Jesus is for eternity.
Lord hold Reboot lovingly through the transition and comfort his family.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Danny – The Bible is plain: Death for all of us is sure, but so also is the hopeful truth from God about what death is and what will happen to us.
1. All will have to die once.
“And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation” (Hebrews 9:27-28 ).
2. Death is not final – a change from our death state is coming!
“If a man dies, shall he live again ? All the days of my hard service I will wait, Till my change comes” (Job 14:14).
3. This promised change brings eternal life!
“Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed — in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
4. We will be victorious over death.
“And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying . There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:3-4).
My sincerest wish is for a quick and full recovery, Reboot! May our Lord in Heaven heal your body.
God be with you on your journey Danny.
Prayers.
And “Thanks.”
All our prayers are with you Reboot for a speedy recovery
