A conservative columnist for The Washington Post on Friday wrote that the current political climate makes him miss former President Obama, saying he would take the Democrat back in a “nanosecond.”
Max Boot was a foreign policy adviser in both of the Republican presidential campaigns against Obama in 2008 and 2012.
Despite his criticisms of the former commander in chief, Boot wrote that Obama’s presidency now “appears to be a lost golden age when reason and morality reigned.”
Boot wrote that he gained a “new perspective” on the Obama administration after watching him deliver a speech in South Africa on the 100th anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s birth.
“I was moved nearly to tears by his eloquent defense of a liberal world order that President Trump appears bent on destroying,” Book wrote.
Yes, every conservative yearns for a liberal world order.

Boot sounds like Lawrence O’Donnell, a man who stated that Obama was the most noble man ever to occupy the White House. Cut me a break. Obama was over in South Africa bragging about having too much money while stoking the flames of identity politics and socialism. His speech about universal income lends justification to politics of the day which is that the white farmers have too much and don’t need all of what they have. They are about 6 weeks out from the decision on whether to strip the land from white farmers without compensation and have already said that 300,000 gun owners must surrender their weapons (much easier to have a genocide when people can fight back). Hey, but no mention of this.
And as for the whole sexual escapades business. I did not vote for Trump because of his sexual purity. Given his past marriages, it is easy to assume he has some issues, but to vilify him and give JFK a pass (and sometime praise for being quite the lover), the Left shows it’s hypocrisy. We don;t see any real investigation into Obama’s past affairs, or cheating on Michelle with past flames during courtship, let alone the rumors of living on the down-low or frequenting gay bath houses during his state senate years. Hillary’s relationships with women are off limits, even those with former staffers. They worry about hush money to a Playmate a campaign violation but overlook $84 million siphoned off the DNC and funneled to to Hillary’s campaign in violation of finance rules.
I guess Mr. Boots is clueless as to the nature of the past administration’s grafting and greed which, as exposed, portends to dwarf every administration that preceded it.
What the Left and the Rino’s don’t get is that much of America goes to church to worship God on Sunday, we don’t try and elect leaders that are a substitute for that devotion and in turn worship them. The Left will learn that we are Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Trump might even have to eat some grass for a while, but we will not bow to the idols of the Left.

I remember reading Boot’s drivel Op-Ed pieces in the local rag we used to get at home. The rag that had 7 op-eds a week, 6 always written by liberals or racist bomb throwers and the 7th was usually a toss up between a RINO or a local guy that was ex-military and wrote the only common sense op-ed pieces.
At least once every couple of weeks there would be a piece from Boot that was shown to be featured in USA Today. I never researched him, just reading his nonsense made me think he was a far left regressive Democrat. Then to my surprise I saw him on some CNN panel and he was touting himself as a conservative which made me laugh. I guess David Gergen was too ill to be on as the fake token conservative.
I tend to look and political principles and policies rather than people and personalities. This guy blows with the wind like all Democrats. So he is a Democrat no matter the self given title.
Hint: There is no conservative columnist for The Washington Post.

I always thought, assumed, the Washington Times was created because there’s not a smidgen of evidence of a conservative writer at the Washington Post.
