Former astronaut Buzz Aldrin called President Donald Trump’s Space Force proposal “one giant leap in the right direction” on Friday.
Aldrin, the second man to step on the moon in 1969, announced on Twitter his support for the president’s potential extension of the military.
Vice President Mike Pence called Thursday for an established Space Force by 2020.
“The Space Force will not be built from scratch. This is a critical step toward’s establishing the Space Force as the sixth branch of our armed forces,” Pence said during a speech at the Pentagon, according to CNBC.
Pence mentioned that the Department of Defense will be working on the creation of the Space Force. Congressional support will be needed to complete this mission, according to CNN.
The Trump administration hopes the Space Force will provide a better way to deal with threats abroad from other space world powers, including Russia and China, CNN reported. more here
SNIP: Can we do manned-spacecraft test with Maxine Waters and Nancy Pelosi taped to the outside?
No animals were harmed during the rocket testing. We just shot up a couple old whores from the democrat party.
Get Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee involved; she was the one who asked if the Mars Rover can see where Buzz & Neil planted the flag …
Buzz Aldrin is a great American hero. He is absolutely right. Space Force needs to be established as soon as possible. The Trump derangement syndrome patients, including one former astronaut, are disparaging this plan already. Get it done!
There’s a new Mega Juice taser in development. I would like to volunteer Mad Max as a test subject.
Gee Wally, they’d have to put a flux capacitor in that Mega Juice taser for enough power to smoke that level of Crazy!
Yeah Beave, 1.21 Jigawatts to be exact!
I still say they need to name it “Starfleet”
St. Louis:
They could, but then CBS would sue them.
Touching on one of my pet peeves: it would be the FIFTH branch, not the sixth. The Coast Guard is NOT a military branch; they are a law enforcement agency under the Department of the Treasury, now Homeland Security. And I do not mean to disparage them at all.
Attaching them to the outside of the rocket is a bad idea. The amount of wrinkles between the two of them would create so much aerodynamic drag, the rocket could never achieve escape velocity.
Poor Buzz, he is about to feel the collective wrath of the American left descend on him like a ton of moon rocks for having the nerve to defend one of President Trump’s proposals.

That’s a relief. i was trying to figure out how they could turn the Pentagon into a Hexagon!
