“Unite the Right 2” march is supposed to happen in Washington, D.C. today. The MSM has been playing this up as the return of the Charlottesville, VA white nationalist event from a year ago that ended in tragedy when a crowd of opponents were run down by a vehicle, killing one counter protester.
Organizer of these events, Jason Kessler is a former Obama voter who claims he became disillusioned with the Democrats when the party “focused on identity politics.” Kesseler claims that he has been discouraging the more extremely racist groups from attending today’s rally, leaving many expecting a low turn out. Major news outlets are reporting on the event anyway, while CNN has labeled marchers “white nationalists, neo-Nazis and Ku Klux Klan supporters, just like the first event in Charlottesville.” They have also provided helpful details on times and places where the march will proceed this afternoon, all but encouraging those prone to violence to show up and attack rally goers. There’s a Twitter account, Stop the Next “UTR” (Unite the Right) that has posted a time and location for followers to gather today. Based on the account’s fed one could easily conclude that they are planning on becoming one of those Twitter rules breaking “violent extremist groups. ” Here
I got the impression that for yesterday’s event the white racists didn’t show up, but that antifa did and still fought with the cops. Is that right?
