Man Flies Plane Into His Own House After Being Released on Domestic Abuse Charges

DC-

A Utah man was found dead after flying a plane into his own home a little after 2:30 a.m., although his wife and an unidentified child were found safe Monday.

The pilot was identified as Duane Youd, 47, who was sent to jail for domestic violence charges Sunday. Police released him from jail around midnight, when he asked if he could retrieve some belongings from his home, Payson Police Sgt. Naoemi Sandoval said, according to KUTV.

Officials said there was no fight prior to the crash. Youd’s wife and a juvenile were inside the home during the crash, but were able to escape the scene.

  2. Glad the wife and child is OK! Must have been a relative of that guy that flew his Cessna with 80 gallons of fuel into the IRS Bldg in Austin that magically knew exactly where the file room was 200′ away. Never mind, wrong state,,,sorry. I’m getting to old for this ,you know.
