Brexit Papers Released: Includes Plans For New Cigarette Packs

The Rebel:

The infamous planning papers have been released today. Well, 25 of them have. Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab confirmed the release of papers that advise on safeguards for the nuclear industry, state aid rules, and provides guidance for businesses who will face extra paperwork when moving products across the border.

One of the stories the papers has picked up on, is the possibility of Britons facing extra credit card charges when in the EU. The papers explain that the cost of card payments between the EU and UK will “likely increase” – which is of course, causing a meltdown online. Is this the best they have?

The documents also outline that businesses trading with the EU should start planning for new customs checks (which is fair and to be expected), low-value parcels coming to the UK from the EU won’t be VAT-free, and we’ll have to replace the picture warnings on cigarette packets because the EU owns the copyright on the current ones.

Well, that’s a relief. I was getting bored of the images of a baby smoking a cigarette, and a man crying on his bed because smoking stopped his men’s parts from working. I mean, come ON, is this all they have?

One thing did stand out to me, though – and that’s the claim that Britons who live in the European Union would lose access to their UK banks and pension services, unless the EU acts. So let’s pretend we’re a Remainer for a moment, and assume that leaving the EU means that Brussels won’t act on this issue, and will stop pensioners living in Europe from accessing their bank and pension.

That would make those in charge pretty nasty, vengeful people, wouldn’t it? I mean, jeez, why did we ever join a union with these monsters in the first place?

Give it a rest. The EU might be wicked and terrible, but if Barnier, Merkel and co want to maintain their union, they’re not going to deny British pensioners access to their money. Can you imagine the PR crisis they’d have on their hands if old British retirees were out on the streets begging?  more here

  1. ” Perhaps the most ludicrous of all, is the claim by a spokesman for the Best for Britain campaign. Speaking to Politics Home, the spokesman explained how a No Deal Brexit could mean heartache for couples, owing to a shortage of sperm in commercial sperm banks. ”

It’s because they’ve been doing “cookie jerks” instead of the normal circle jerks. The last one to cum on the cookie eats it.

If an American tourist goes to the EU, I’m pretty damn sure their credit cards would work. They love to create problems, so that they can provide the solution.
If you’re British and reading this- STAND UP!
