Spanish Socialists Want To Dig Up Generalissimo Francisco Franco (He’s Still Dead)

Socialists took control of Spain’s government in June and have been working hard to approve legislation that would remove the body of Generalissimo Franco from his tomb in the Valley of the Fallen. Franco’s descendants and supporters are fighting back to leave the Fascist leader where he has rested since 1975.  The socialists, meanwhile have declared that it’s unfair so many victims of Franco’s regime lie in unmarked graves across the nation while the dictator resides in a mausoleum constructed by prison labor. 2. The Socialists are still pissed because Franco killed all those Basque separatists who rose up against him. It was their fault, though, because when they were losing they tried to flee through a mountain pass with only one way out, and they were trapped and massacred.

    The moral of the story?

Never put all your Basques in one exit.

  3. Hmm. Nobody seems to have clicked link I provided of Chevy Chase delivering his classic SNL “Francisco Franco” line? Interesting…:/
BTW, I watched SNL when it first aired in 1975. It was worth watching then.

  4. Franco saved Spain from becoming a Soviet Socialist Satellite.
Franco saved Spain from an alliance with German and Italian Socialists – which would have destroyed it after the Second World War.

The Socialists in Spain should crawl on their knees to his grave and kiss his dead ass.

    izlamo delenda est …
