While the back of the wearer is shielded by the backpack itself, there’s a handy hidden front vest that can easily be deployed in case of emergency. Ballistic hard plates can be purchased separately that raise the protection level “3, 3+ or 4,” which I believe means high velocity rifles. Product demo Here

  1. Well, I think the idea is commendable and I kind of wish I would have thought of it but….what is missing here is the ability to return an even greater force of offensiveness.

To simply cower behind a small bullet-proof barrier until the shooter runs out of bullets is unacceptable, especially in this case where there are a greater number of possible defenders that could easily return fire from any number of angles.

Perhaps we should teach our young how and why to protect our freedoms.

In our “school” a bad guy would have to get through me and our six large dogs before getting near the kids, and my kids would dismantle the creep just for trying to get through me! And you don’t wanna know what I’d do to someone that is on my property with ill intentions.
