Republican Win In San Antonio, Texas

h/t Charlie WalksonWater.

Link: Flores victory extends the Republican majority in the Texas Senate to 21-10.

  1. I was just reading about this — a political newcomer in a district 139 years Democrat. That’s great!

(How could the D’s hold a district in Texas for 139 years? I’m trying to imagine a Democrat living anywhere in Texas 100 years ago.)

  2. @AA Where did you see the 139 years? I read it in a comment on Reddit_thedonald.

For the times they are a-changin’. Bob Dylan

Come senators, congressmen, please heed the call
Don’t stand in the doorway, don’t block up the hall
For he that gets hurt will be he who has stalled
    The battle outside ragin’
Will soon shake your windows and rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin’
Come mothers and fathers throughout the land
And don’t criticize what you can’t understand
Your sons and your daughters are beyond your command1

  3. This is a big leading indicator that Hispanics are boarding the Trump train. Unlike many urban areas which have a huge influx of new “immigrants” SA is old school Hispanic, it is considered Mexico City North. As Groping Joe would say, this is a big f’ing deal
