Diogenes Middle Finger: Now that the spectacle of the Kavanaugh hearings, Part 2: “Tales From the Yearbook” and the grilling of a Supreme Court Nominee about high school fart jokes are over, it becomes obvious that the Democrats have overplayed their #MeToo hand. In their zeal to derail the nomination of a highly qualified judge, they played to the lowest denominator and seemed swept up in the frenzy of that movement and they may have inadvertently decimated the #MeToo movement. In its original incarnation, it was a movement about sexual assault and violence. In its current incarnation, it has morphed into an ugly catch-all for leftist complaints, now encompassing pay disparities, power structures, whisper networks, and intense personal hatred of white males with power.
As this latest round of the Kavanaugh hearings shows, reason, argument and even the law are outmoded. It has become an orgy of outrage. All men are nasty predators and the accuser is to believed no matter how preposterous, unsubstantiated,or uncorroborated the accusation is, witnesses to the contrary be damned. And if all men are nasty predators who carry a presumption of guilt, that makes all women victims.
Hey man, this is what happens when a crook like sessions protects the crooks he is supposed to be prosecuting: those crooks become tyrants over the rest of us.

We’ve witnessed only one moment of outrage from the republicans during these hearings and with the exception of Graham there’s been little of nothing coming from them. The left will keep pushing until there’s some spirited pushback and the committee is packed with cowards. If they can’t or won’t stand up then they should have the decency to stand aside. Utterly unreliable sniveling gutless pukes.
All the Democrats want is total gridlock as far as the Trump administration is concerned. Foot-dragging and stalling on this confirmation, as well as dozens of others that President Trump has nominated (in the Cabinet, in the courts, etc). Has there been any nomination that went smoothly yet ? But this Kavanaugh farce is beyond disgusting — it is evil.
For the American people, the Dems do not want more prosperity or more freedom of thought, anywhere. They have admitted it and shown it. All they want is lockstep adherence to the almighty Socialist behemoth – themselves!
