What To Do With Apu?

An executive producer of “The Simpsons” has responded to the claim by actor / producer Adi Shankar that the character Apu was going to be written out of the show. Al Jean tweeted yesterday that Shankar does not speak for the long running animated series, while avoiding any mention of what will happen to the owner of Springfield’s convenience store. More

There will be terrible repercussion for free speech in Hollywood if “The Simpsons” ends up folding to the PC police on this one. Here

  1. So how come the only group of people that it’s politically correct to make fun of is Southern rednecks?

Oh yeah, I forgot – because they’re the only ones who still have a sense of humor about themselves.

  2. Thank you for sharing my Apu story. I think the first few Simpsons seasons were pure genius. I tuned out a long time ago… just running on fumes now. That’s not the point, though. Best part of this? The fellow who started this kerfuffle isn’t happy with this solution. Because … Social Justice Warriors are never happy or satisfied.

  3. Maybe it would be a good thing for Apu to bite the dust. Then all the fans can watch all the SJW’s patting themselves on the back and finally realize just how dangerous these assholes have become and start to fight back. While we’re on the subject of SJW douchebags has anyone actually wondered just how powerful they really are? Let the little pansies boycott a sponsor and just see whether they actually impact sales. If not they lose their power overnight.

  4. I agree with Christian. The first 5-6 seasons were incredibly funny, well written and current and appeased my Jr. High school humor. My sons and i watched every episode.

And killing off apu solves a problem only they think exists and eliminates a great voice.
