Thirty-six percent of American women say they frequently or occasionally worry about being the victim of a sexual assault, a number that has remained relatively stagnant since the beginning of the 21st century, a Gallup poll released Monday indicates.
Of the men who responded to the same question, 4 percent said they frequently or occasionally worry about being sexual assault victims. Overall, 20 percent of Americans worry.
Among women, the number is up 7 percentage points since 2017, but the responses since 2000 have remained within a 9-point range, with the highest being 38 percent in 2003 and the lowest at 29 percent in 2001, 2015 and 2017.

I bought my daughter the Sig P224. It is 40 cal but you can buy the .357 barrel and the magazine and chamber can hold the rounds. The only pistol that can shoot those rounds. The .357 velocity on that 4″ barrel is very near a rifle

So here comes Bad_Brad the gun dick. I own a 226 and a 220. If it starts with two it’s a double action gun. Both those weapons are nail driving weapons. After the first damn shot. The initial pull on my 226 has got to be around 12 pounds. It’s a throw away shot. The P220 is not better. Strangely enough, after the garage door spring DA shot on the 226, the SA is probably about 2 pounds. The 220 maybe 3 pounds.

@Brad my 226 is supremely accurate and manageable. Been shooting it for at least 20 years. The hubs thinks I should switch to the G19 because I have high capacity magazine for it. He doesn’t like the trigger or trigger pull on my 226. He carries a 220 blut had some work done it to lighten the trigger pul and switched the trigger.
I will probably switch to the G19. Most of the time I carry a G42 in addition to the 226. Gotta’ be prepared.
Now if I could fit the Mossberg Persuader somewhere I would be really prepared. Maybe a giant flash bang holster.
