Ducey Appoints McSally To Open Senate Seat

Arizona now has blueish purple senate representation.

Yes, we wanted McSally to beat Sinema, but when you have a free roll to install a conservative, and you go with McSally, it’s a swing and a miss.

She has a 60% lifetime rating by FreedomWorks.

Ducey, what were you thinking?

AZCentral-

Republican U.S. Rep. Martha McSally will replace retiring U.S. Sen. Jon Kyl to fill for the next two years the Senate seat long held by the late U.S. Sen. John McCain.

Gov. Doug Ducey’s decision to appoint McSally, announced in a statement Tuesday and effective next month, revives her political life less than two months after she narrowly lost the race for the state’s other Senate seat to Democrat Kyrsten Sinema.

It also makes Arizona one of only a handful of states with two women in the U.S. Senate. Prior to Sinema’s election, Arizona had never selected a woman to fill a Senate seat. In prepared statements, Ducey and McSally echoed the same sentiment: an expectation that McSally and Sinema, her 2018 political rival, would work together in the Senate.

  1. “Can we get a priest to burn sage or something in the state capitol?”

…or maybe just leave out the priest, the sage, and the something, and burn what’s left, @MJA…

  2. @exJarhead – I see as many CA license plates here as MN, MI, IL, WI, ID & Canada combined. At least the snowbirds go home in April. Same shit happened to VT, NH, ME in the 60s to 80s – they escape the high taxes, but bring their “values.”

Just how many damn Californians do you think they’re are? LOL.
If you’re seeing them on the east coast, thank God, they’re finally going back home. Because the reality is that where most of these Libtards came from.

  4. Devastating. Really disappointed in Ducey. McSally is McCain in a dress. She too was put into the cockpit for political reasons, not because of her qualifications. There’s going to be painful buyer’s remorse. Az. has many fine and deserving conservatives who should have been selected.

  5. Mark my words: This will not end well. She is not, and never has been, a Constitutional conservative. This is not even close, she is in the mold of Flake or McCain.

    HungJumper has it right.

It’s our educational system that is propagating us with Libtards. Back in the 70’s California, Silicon Valley, was inundated with East Coast College educated morons after the high tec jobs. It’s been a downward spiral ever since.
    We’re still looking at Prescott.

  7. I’d tend to give her the benefit of the doubt. Having lost to a Democrat I’ll bet after the election she wished she had come across as more conservative and now she’ll get the chance. If she does a McCain or a Flake she knows that she’s likely to get primaried in two years and if the Arizona conservatives come out she’ll lose the nomination.

  8. Can’t be as bad as Tina Smith who replaced Al Franken. She’s already been down at the border advocating for illegals at the expense of her constituents in Minnesota.

Two female senators? Don’t be fooled like voters were here. Amy Klobuchar is NOT that Minnesota nice to anyone other than to other bone-headed bleeding heart liberals.

  9. Are we still sure that “Hope springs eternal…”? Where?

Damn! How about the woman McSally defeated in the primary, Kelli Ward? Seems as though AZ – and we – never will escape the mccain/flake stain.

  10. “… an expectation that McSally and Sinema, her 2018 political rival, would work together in the Senate…” Of course they will work together…to further the Democrat agenda.
