Not a single article I saw about this gave examples of what the so-called “shaming” actually was. Just a “hip” tag these days: victim!
I saw this a few days ago, she killed it. I also like the team camaraderie.
As far as body shaming, I learned a long time ago that there are two kinds of people; those that achieve and excel, and those that have no capacity for greatness due to their own personal failings so they tear down the achievement of others. Their lives suck and they know it.
If this little dynamo is being body shamed it’s like from other women whose idea of competitive sport is Dairy Queen.
Can you imagine doing the splits like she did at the end and popping up like it was nothing? Ouch, that hurt me to watch.

I had a few interactions with a former U of Arizona gymnast….I was grateful of her kindness to me….
OMG! This girl is awesome! I have a friend whose daughter was a gymnast. Many times after a day of hard training or competition, she would come home and fill the bathtub with ice and lay in it, trying to soothe screaming muscles. I can only imagine how hard this young lady has trained. If I had moves and a body like that..well, hell, bring on the shaming.

They all have the same shaped body on that team. Why are they bitching? Is it because she had black hip-hop and michael jackson songs and she’s culturally appropriating or something? Meh.

Oh Doc! Thank’s so much for the link to OZZY MAN’s video. His review, and call out of the various techniques, was just on my level of understanding of the sport. I was laughing out loud. And his video is much better to show my wife than the original. “No dear, I don’t mean to be creepy. This is just cool.”
Would love to learn that OZZY MAN covers some of the Olympic events.
Speaking of women’s’ gymnastics, the good news is that Larry Nassar will spend the rest of his miserable life in prison, probably shanked by another inmate, then he gets to burn in hell for eternity, well deserved.

She must be a wonderful girl too. Her teammates were all bouncing around and shaking their heads with her. They seem like they genuinely like her and each other.
A recipe for a great team. Extreme talent and camaraderie.
In my 20’s I met a gymnast on the USC team, that girl could do more tricks than a monkey on an 80 foot pole.
Spinning, my head was spinning.
