Warner Wolf wants to scrub the name of his place of residence like he was able to scrub the video of his dentures falling out on air. (Try and find it. You can’t.)
Suddenly, sportscaster Warner Wolf is offended by the word “plantation” in the name of the place he bought into when he “was a racist.”
Sports broadcasting legend Warner Wolf — who coined the phrase, “Let’s go to the videotape” — was arrested in Florida after officials say he ripped the word “Plantation” off a sign at a private community. Long story short … Wolf lives in a gated community called, “Classics Plantation Estates” in Naples, Florida (about 60 miles from Miami) … but he thinks the word Plantation is offensive and wanted it removed.
According to the police report, Wolf had lobbied the homeowners association to drop it for months — but on Nov. 30th, the 81-year-old finally took matters into his own hands. Cops say Warner drove to the main community sign — located in a fancy fountain — and used a tool to remove the word himself. Officials say they have video showing Wolf defacing the sign — and after a lengthy investigation, he finally surrendered to police on Feb. 7th. Also, cops say Warner returned the letters from the sign to the community security guard. Wolf was booked for causing criminal mischief that resulted in more than $1,000 in damage. He was released on $5,000 bond. So far, no comment from Warner.

Naples is a majority rich white country club set. If he feels so strongly about it, maybe he should move further inland to sugar cane territory of Belle Glade.

Change it from “Plantation” to “Colonial”. See if that helps.

Ever been to Jamaica? Just about everything there is on a plantation and everyone there is blacker than black. They must enjoy offending themselves.
ecp, down here in Georgia, every third subdivision has “Plantation” in its name. And all the houses in every subdivision have Master bedrooms. We’re racist like that here.
But I have to confess, I almost tore down part of our old subdivision name. It was “Pointe” that got me. I hate that extra “e”.
In Portland a wealthy man bought a top floor condo about a mile from the airport’s main runways. Then complained about the noise. Local paper published very long article about his efforts to do something about that which he did not approve. He was an airline pilot!

Warner Wolf used to give Dianne Sawyer major league grief when he was doing the sportscast on the CBS morning news back in the 80’s. It was funny and I hadn’t heard of Warner Wolf since then. He’s another old fart like Sam Donaldson who we didn’t know was still alive

if he had a real problem with living on a plantation, then he should have moved out of the plantation. seems like Warner is simply trying to get his name back in front of the public by any means to serve as his last 15 minutes of fame before he gives up the ghost. He must be a lonely, lonely, lonely man.
