Felicity Huffman (wife of William H. Macy) and Lori Loughlin have been charged along with 48 others in a massive bribery scam involving some of the most elite colleges in the country.
Court records show the actresses and others allegedly paid hefty bribes — as much as $6 MILLION — to get their kids into various schools, including Yale, Stanford, Georgetown and the University of Southern California.
The charges include conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. We’ve learned Felicity has been arrested and is presently in custody. We’re told she will be released on a signature bond … which essentially is a promise to appear in court.
The alleged scam was reportedly unearthed after authorities found a California businessman who ran an operation helping students get into the college of their choice. Authorities say parents would pay the man a predetermined amount which he would funnel to an SAT or ACT administrator or a college athletic coach.
The feds say if the money went to a college coach … the coach would arrange a fake profile that listed the student as an athlete. If the money went to an exam administrator, the administrator would either hire a proctor to take the SAT/ACT or correct the student’s answers.
As for Loughlin, she and her husband — Mossimo Giannulli, the founder of Mossimo clothing — allegedly paid $500,000 to have their 2 daughters designated as recruits for the crew team at USC … despite the fact they did not actually participate in crew. However, the feds say Mossimo sent action photos of their daughters on rowing machines.

I remember reading a list of actors and their level of education. Most of the lefties were high school grads and college dropouts. Many more college grads and Masters degrees by Right-leaning actors.
Probably some Leftie GED actors compensating with the kids in the only way they know how.

Through the looking glass, I can see why, in a world where Hillary can buy the Democratic slot for the Presidency and sell America’s nuclear supply to a foreign nation, with no legal consequences… buying your kids a better title than the government will sell them, without cutting the DNC in, is a crime. But morally? If you expect your children to never have to work (maybe allow the use of their names on the website, but never actually have to show up… like journalist Chelsea), because you bought them a Baronest of Imaginary Intersections title (maybe a startlingly provocative Prinxess of Invisible STEMs title… from the same vending machine that dispenses Baronest of Imaginary Intersections, at the tug of a different handle)… is it wrong to pay for overnight delivery?

I’m laughing out loud because I am literally sitting outside my daughter’s school waiting to take her to rowing practice. She’s on a crew and gets to see all the university crews that come to her own teams boathouse to use the venue in Oak Ridge. She’s motivated and inspired.
These idiots don’t realize the value of team sports, authentically cultivating discipline, fitness, sportsmanship, sacrifice. They will pay for the artifice. But, actors…. natch.

When I was in grade school (1960’s) there were daughters of 2 different Hollywood stars in my class. Let’s just say they both needed all the help they could get to get into ANY college. And the stars were conservatives ( it was acceptable back then.)
My feeling is the fbi agents are low level investigators on a power trip seeking promotions by investigating conservatives. What makes me think that? They didn’t go after the colleges (liberal institutions)or the co-conspirator (liberal) employees who took the bribes. And they’re from Boston.
