CNN, Ted Lieu (D) admit there’s not enough evidence to impeach President Trump

DC:

Democratic California Rep. Ted Lieu said during a Friday night appearance on “Hardball with Chris Matthews” that he doesn’t think there is currently enough evidence to impeach President Donald Trump.

Lieu’s comments came hours after special counsel Robert Mueller signaled the end of his investigation into Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.

“What’s the next step? I mean you’ve got the Congress decides on impeachment. The Speaker said it’s off the table. Is it back on the table or still off the table? Where’s impeachment? It’s now March, late March. Is it something that’s going to come up in the next couple months or not?” Matthews asked.

“The mission of special counsel Mueller is fairly narrow, right? He’s looking at whether he can get enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that someone committed a federal crime,” Lieu answered. “The committees in Congress have a much broader mission. We want to know, ‘Did Donald Trump, his family or associates commit any crime, whether or not it was related to Russia? Second, did they engage in any ethical misconduct whether or not it rose to the level of a crime?’”

He continued, “Third, how to keep this from happening again and how to explain it to the American people? So our investigations are going to continue. Based on what we find, we’ll have a conversation with the American people and decide should we go forward or not with impeachment but we don’t have enough of a record to decide that question yet.”

Matthews followed up, “What’s winning right now? The case for impeachment or the case against it? What’s winning as of tonight?”

“I don’t think we have enough facts to go forward with impeachment,” Lieu concluded.  MORE

CNN FORCED TO ADMIT MUELLER REPORT VINDICATES TRUMP.

CNN pundits are admitting that Mueller’s final report vindicates President Donald Trump, undercutting the frenzied coverage the network has given the Russia investigation since its inception.

Special counsel Robert Mueller submitted his report on Russian collusion to Attorney General Bill Barr on Friday, finally wrapping up a 22-month investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia

While the contents of the report are not public, Mueller issued no additional indictmentswith the submission of his report.

CNN political analyst Gloria Borger admitted that the president is “vindicated” by the conclusion of the probe, but did so in a roundabout way, focusing on the political implications for the president’s past critiques of the Mueller team.  more

  1. This is so unAmerican. It is supposed to be the discovery of a crime and THEN an investigation to see who committed it…NOT we hope there is a crime and we investigate a political target to see it we can find a crime.

Hey Ted, let’s investigate you to see if you did child porn, white slavery, had illegals mow your lawn, or if you cheated on your taxes, or if you took bribes. We’ll find something eventually you POS.

These loser shitbirds stalked every detail on him for almost 3 years, screaming Treason/Impeachment…
Now it’s over and the only thing they ever accomplished was THE VERY THING they wanted to blow up…

  4. These fuckfaces applaud what New Zealand is doing.

Take them off the air. Let them fight it out in court for a few years.

There’s no way to make Sissy Matthews a martyr not matter how many times the chubby, straw-haired scarecrow keeps trying to pull himself up on a cross.

  5. This goes beyond Donald Trump. Trump is a tough guy, he has taken withering abuse on a daily basis, and came out swinging. But how many people could do that? The lesson here is for the NEXT potential candidate who wants to take on the entrenched swamp dwellers. Who wants to see all their family and friends dragged through the mud, their reputations sullied, unable to even sit down at a restaurant without being assaulted? Not many.

Coughed it up didn’t you asshole! You mean keep a duly elected “Republican” from actually obtaining office.

Here lies the real enemy of the American people!

  7. So tail chasing/witch hunting is now all the democrats know how to do. Damage your opponents by making up stories and getting taxpayers to pay for your phony investigations. And then sell the BS to narrow minded voters. Its a win win.

  8. NO self awareness whatsoever. We are watching the fast forward devolution of the democrat party. It is as if they have all taken a crash course in self serving asininity.
(For you low IQ leftists in Rio Linda, “asininity” means; absurdity, bêtise, fatuity, folly, foolery, foppery, idiocy, imbecility, inanity, insanity, lunacy, stupidity.)
