Jerry used to be morbidly obscenely obese, then got his stomach stapled. On the outside, he’s now smaller. Still pretty fat, mind you, but smaller. He didn’t actually lose the fat, though. It just rose into his skull. Where his brain used to be, if he ever had one, there’s now a lump of collapsed lipid matter approaching the density of neutronium.
Not only is he not competent, you have to be careful not to get too close to his head or your body will be pulled apart by intense gravitational/tidal forces.
