Chewbacca‘s howling in heaven today … Peter Mayhew — the man behind the mask of the iconic ‘Star Wars’ character — has died … according to his family.We’re told the actor died from a heart condition Tuesday at his home in North Texas, and was surrounded by friends and family. Peter played Chewie in all three films of the original ‘Star Wars’ trilogy, and did it all over again decades later in ‘The Revenge of the Sith’ and in 2015’s ‘The Force Awakens.’

That first Film was absolutely magic…RIP Chewie !
Let’s hope Michelle obama steps up to fill the void.

I was never enough of a SW geek to know who was inside the suit. Or whether it was the same person in each movie. Reading Peter’s bio he seems to have been a kind & good man. And a tall fellah at 7′ 2″. RIP.
Saw the very first Star Wars in the theater tripping balls on acid with my high school friends.
Now nothing else will satisfy.
All we could say for hours after was, to paraphrase:

After, we went to Tommy’s on Roscoe Blvd in the San Fernando Valley, and had Chili Cheese burgers.
