Republican Michigan Rep. Justin Amash was widely criticized by members of his own party after his Saturday contention that President Donald Trump has engaged in “impeachable conduct.”
“Here are my principal conclusions,” Amash, a frequent Trump critic who hasn’t ruled out running to unseat the president for the GOP nomination, wrote via Twitter. “1. Attorney General Barr has deliberately misrepresented Mueller’s report. 2. President Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct. 3. Partisanship has eroded our system of checks and balances. 4. Few members of Congress have read the report.”
GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel accused Amash of “parroting the Democrats’ talking points on Russia.”
“It’s sad to see Congressman Amash parroting the Democrats’ talking points on Russia,” McDaniel wrote. “The only people still fixated on the Russia collusion hoax are political foes of @realDonaldTrump hoping to defeat him in 2020 by any desperate means possible.” more here

Republican Utah Sen. Mitt Romney angered President Donald Trump’s opponents by refusing to stand with Republican Rep. Justin Amash in calling for impeachment.
Amash on Saturday made headlines by tweeting that Trump had “engaged in impeachable conduct” over the course of Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. Romney reacted when asked by Jake Tapper about the topic during a Sunday morning conversation on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
“You and Congressman Amash are the only two elected Republicans, I think, to express any misgivings about the behavior of the president or his campaign team based on the Mueller report,” Tapper said. “First of all, are you surprised you two are the only ones that have really said anything condemning of the president’s behavior as laid out?”
Romney began his answer by saying that while everyone “has to make their own judgement,” many “want to reserve judgment until this is all played out.”
Then Romney, a frequent Trump critic who many thought might back up Amash’s statement, proceeded to do the opposite.
The POS Romney wetted his finger, stuck it in the air and determined the time is not right. What a bitch!

Looking forward to the major announcement sometime this week from Jim Lower, a MI State Rep. I believe he is going to challenge Amash in 2020. I will vote for whoever runs against him in the primary.
I was concerned about a few things Amash squawked about even before this last idiocy. He is a Libertarian turned RINO and I’m finally done with the scum sucking turd.
