Attorney General William Barr accused the media in a new interview of being uninterested in finding out about the origins of the Trump-Russia probe, and of shirking their duty as watchdogs for the public.
“Normally the media would be interested in letting the sunshine in and finding out what the truth is,” Barr said in an interview with CBS News. “And usually the media doesn’t care that much about protecting intelligence sources and methods. But I do and I will.”
Barr was discussing his plans for declassification of documents related to the surveillance activities against the Trump campaign during the Russia investigation.
President Donald Trump ordered the heads of various government agencies, including the FBI and CIA, to provide materials to Barr. He also granted Barr the authority to declassify documents as he sees fit.
The decision generated heavy criticism from former intelligence officials, TV pundits and some journalists.
The New York Times, Politico, The Washington Post, and other outlets published stories that quoted former intelligence officials fretting that the declassification order would allow Barr to disclose the identities of confidential sources used in the Russia investigation. The Times article asserted that the CIA is concerned that the declassification order will lead to the unmasking of a sensitive Kremlin source close to Vladimir Putin.
Do they really think Barr is that stupid? Any unmasking of secret sources will come from the enemida, NOT Barr.
OK Barr, drop some indictments on some of these players and you will get some media coverage.
This Barr cat is the real McCoy. He may have a Winnie the Pooh look going on, but this isn’t a man to be trifled with. He is going to jerk the mother of all knots their ass if they keep it up.

You can’t sit on your ass and then blame the media. Give them something to report.
I like the idea that he’s attacking the media for their complicity with the dems and refusal to report anything that would shine light on this mess.
These things go maddeningly slow but I think he’s going to be nailing some hides when he’s got an airtight case against them.
Keep in mind though Trump gave him full access to the information he’s getting jerked around by the FBI’s “dick” head.
Barr is as cool as a cucumber but I’m sure his patience has it’s limits too. Someone “I think Mr. Rey of the FBI” is going to be the first to get his snotty ass stung. I can’t wait.
At first I had my doubts about AG Barr but I think we have the right man for the job. A couple of perp walks would be great.

So why would the CIA let Putin know someone close is spying on him?
For what Barr is saying and investigating, he needs to have Secret Service protection.

Watching Attorney General Barr fending off the people who have put politics above country has been a refreshing experience. He handled the CBS interview like a gravedigger who knew where the petrifying bodies were buried. Know what I mean Jimbo?
I’m not trying to be a naysayer here, but until there are real perp walks this is just another version of the Trey Gowdy show. Why are they not prosecuting the FBI serial leaker that Horowitz discussed but did not identify?
So suddenly they are fretting about sources informants, “sensitive” information about a dreamed up fraud coup attempt?
Trying to protect their own it seems…

Barr is a doberman for justice and the weasels have yet to figure that out.
Neigh Boor, good shot. At least someone is paying attention to me. The way I see it we need to be more critical of these guys that are pretending to be working in our best interest. We can’t just give them an applause line for a good sound bite and then hope there is some follow up. It’s past time we all saw some results!
