USDA Employees Turn Their Backs To AG Secretary

Kansas City Star

Federal employees turned their backs in silent protest against Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue as he addressed employees Thursday about relocating their jobs from Washington to Kansas City.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s selection of Kansas City as the new home for 550 federal research jobs has been a major victory for policymakers in Kansas and Missouri. But for USDA employees with family and professional ties to the D.C. region, the Trump’s administration’s plan to move their jobs from Washington to the Midwest is bitter news.

Dozens of USDA staff turned their backs as Perdue touted Kansas City’s food and arts scenes, praised the region’s school districts and promised employees that their importance to the federal government would not be lessened by the move. More

  1. Kansas City is a reeking dump. But I went from DC to rural MO, and I’d rather be here existing on 18 cent packs of noodles than making 6 figures in DC.

Fuck DC. Fuck being within a thousand miles of DC.

  2. …the food plant I work in has USDA stationed inside of it. They can’t sell any meat product without the USDA stamp, sort of a “Mark of the Beast”, but with more boring, out-of-shape people who wear hilarious hard hats for some reason.

They rotate regularly, it’s supposed to keep the corruption potential down, and each time a new one takes over they like to throw their weight around, like a new top dog peeing in the corners to mark his territory.

And they expect to be treated like gods, and have a million regulations they can strangle you with if they’re not.

That’s why they hate this so much. Apparatchiks like this expect to be bowed to.

And our President is NOT one to kowtow.

…this is why ALL Civil Service bureaucrats hate him, they thought THEY ran the Government…

  3. We cannot afford their over compensated, low value, questionable ROI, bloated bureaucracy. RIF about 80%. The remaining 20% would find creative ways to move in a few days or so.

  4. I see that the college SJW mentality has reached the government bureaucracies. That is unfortunate, because townie Americans have had their fill of the campussification of America. Grow the hell up, you pukes. Welcome to real relo America. Thousands of adults–and their children–do it every day.

  5. I hope this is the beginning of a HUGE trend, of relocating these low value parasites to the most reddest of red states, cutting them off from the rarefied airs of the East Coast Swamp.

Let these fuckers relocate to fucking Jennings, Nebraska if they want to keep their jobs.

Make their place of employment so incredibly offensive to their elitist sensitivities, that they GIVE UP their bullshit jobs rather than live in the new locale of their job. I LOVE THIS!!!

  6. Hi, I’m back because I just love this!

They had some fun with these entitled brats, telling them how great the arts and cultural ‘scene’ is in Kansas City!

    That is Comedy Gold!
    Comedy Freakin’ Gold!!!

Don’t like KC? You can always quit.

  7. Crybaby assholes.

We taxpayers are probably paying for their moving expenses and relocation costs, if they own a home, plus probably other perks not given to our military when they are sent to some third world pest hole, to die, (for multiple times, without family, friends and comfort).

  8. Think of this
Those employees that would act in such a disrespectful manner to their Boss or Supervisor or Employer. . .

How do you think they will treat you the customer?

  9. Reality comes home to “the special people”.
Why.. it’s like working for a private corporation
that requires that you relocate or find other employment!
How can they be so cruel?

  10. Our nations largest employer has been controlled by the leftist dems for several decades. They take every opportunity to coddle them to purchase continued loyalty.
What’s happening now is an effort to decouple these spoiled children from their puppeteers in DC. They’ll need to be dragged kicking and screaming because pulling them off that teet is too traumatizing for the little snowflakes.
Hopefully some will quit but not likely many, walking away from a fat retirement isn’t an act of sanity.
