Breitbart: Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” host Jake Tapper laughed at Vice President Mike Pence during a contentious interview.

While asking about climate change Tapper pressed Pence on if it was “a threat to the United States?”

Pence said, “America has the cleanest air and water in the world.”

Tapper laughed while he said, “That is not true. We don’t have the cleanest air and water in the world. We don’t.” watch

  10. PHenry – I’d be inclined to consider the Great Lakes to be the best source of fresh water in the world. There are larger bodies such as Lake Baikal in Russia but the Great Lakes are a renewable source constantly being replenished as it emptys into the Atlantic.

  15. Jake has never been anywhere without a ritzy hotel. He knows no one, hasn’t talked to anyone from a shithole country and really asked questions.

    Trump, on the other hand does stay in ritzy hotels, but he has also done business in countries that aren’t as prosperous as we are. And I know he has talked to and hired those people and knows a great deal about how their economy, etc works.

    Jake sits behind a desk wearing a ragged toupee, pointing his pen at people, reading what they told him to read that day.

  17. For a nation of 300 million folks, the United States has the cleanest air and water. The worst? Usually communist/socialist nations like Tapper, Ocasio Cortez, Sanders and their ilk want the US to become. Factor in the fact that America is one of the most industrialized nations in the world, and it’s no contest.

    The United States is also reducing its carbon emissions, and I have read sources that claim that the US has hit the Paris Accord targets even though we withdrew from the Paris Accords. But guys like Tapper don’t recognize things like this unless the government is the cause although, ironically, government almost always fails in achieving these targets.

  19. These past couple of years, ever since our President was elected I’ve listened to his critics, some hateful critics. But I also heard some great back and forts. I’ve listened to John Sununu, Sabastian Gorka, Dan Bongino, Laura Ingraham, Tammy Bruce,Ann Coulter, President Trump. Attorney General Grassley, and others come back at their liberal inquisitors with statements like:

    “You don’t know what you’re talking about.”
    “You are giving people false information.”
    ” You are just a TV guy, you know nothing.”
    And on and on.
    I would love to see a compilation of these interviews. Just like the compilation of “People who laughed at Trump.”
    That’s on my bucket list. I will gladly support any effort to get it together.
    It may be out already. But you guys at IOTW can do it.

    I do spend a year’s worth of somalian wages to make the water tolerable for simply washing. I don’t drink or cook with it.

  25. @geoff. If Americans were first duped into the bottled water boondoggle at premium prices from France, we should be able to dupe their offspring into paying even more for AquaGanges, spiritual water passed by those upstream of you.

    Wouldn’t surprise me if it worked.

  26. Jake is a fucking prick, and he likes nudie cartoons, I’m not kidding.

    One time I was at the Capitol and Jake was sitting there on the ‘phone. Another ‘phone rang and Zach Wolf (really a decent guy) answered it. Zach touched Jake’s cuff and said, “The telephone is for you.”

    Jake turned to Zach and said, “Can’t you see I’m on the fucking ‘phone?!”

    I would have crammed that handset up Crappers ass. Fucking prick. That’s how he treats co-workers.
