Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC) is warning Robert Mueller that he “better be prepared” for the Republican cross-examination that will occur during the July 17 House Judiciary and Intelligence Committee hearings.
“It is not a good day for America, but Bob Mueller better be prepared because I can tell you, he will be cross-examined for the first time and the American people will start to see the flaws in his report,” said Meadows while speaking to Fox News’ Laura Ingraham last night.
The congressman said it is imperative to protect the civil liberties of those involved in the Democrats’ Trump-Russia witch hunt.
“We have to protect our civil liberties,” he said. “Whether they’re Republican or Democrat or in between, we have to protect those. This is a sad day for civil liberties and those who love those. Those rights that we have.”
“Yet it’s a worse day for Congress because … what Adam Schiff and them have done, they have basically harassed the president and put forth a political agenda,” he continued. read more
I am sick and tired of these douche nozzles telegraphing all of their strategies to the media. They need to shut their damned pie holes. Much better to fire both barrels at Muller in the hearing.
I’m not sure if I understand the wisdom of publicly warning Mueller to be prepared for cross examination. Judging from the tactics that these guys have utilized so far it wouldn’t surprise me if Mueller was to somehow claim he is entering a hostile environment and use that to claim his right to not testify. Do we have anyone other than Trump on our side?

I suggest that he was not warning Mueller, but rather telling Nadler who otherwise would have twisted parliamentary procedure into a pretzel to keep the Republicans from asking anything. This way Nadler is on notice that people will be expecting Republican questions.
Besides, I doubt that Mueller is so stupid that he did not know that Republicans would be asking questions.
