I get to listen to Rush when I’m in the car. I caught this today, and I’m paraphrasing-

Kaepernick was never kneeling, like he claimed, because he was bringing attention to the police mistreatment of black people. His pressure on Nike to drop the Betsy Ross Flag sneakers, because the flag existed during slavery, outs him for what he is – a modern day (half) black, who never experiencd oppression, who has a wild afro hair up his ass about the entire country. The police is but a tiny slice of just what his guy’s problem is. His problem is EVERYTHING.

  6. Why is Nike cow-towing to an embittered quarterback who is angry because he has no team, no prospects, and hates everything? I thought Nike backed winners. Kaepernick is a total loser.

  10. Protesting “police mistreatment of blacks” was the PR answer after he and Eric Reid or some other million dollar dickbag had established that they were protesting America in general.

    That’s why they protested during the National Anthem.

  17. I really wish Kaepernick would just shut up and move to some country he likes and is willing to dedicate and commit himself to. If he can’t respect the country he’s living in maybe he could find one where he could.

    He’s made more than enough money and has plenty of it to live like a king almost anywhere in the world he wants to live.

  18. It’s always the half-whites who go all in for the blacks to not only overcompensate but to kiss up to the side that rejected them from the start. Kapaernick, Obama, Don Lemon etc. It’s their love song to their long lost black father who abandoned them, as black men often do. Kapaernick could just as easily go all in on white nationalism. It’s the same equation but it’s unimaginable. Now Kap is the big hero on slavery awareness? Is he ashamed of his white ancestors?

  23. Since there is interest, cletus did not like me taking a contrary position on the Oregon GOP legislators thread. Instead of arguing on the merits and facts, something I prefer, he had nothing to offer but Ad hominem’s, even after I tried to circle him back to civility. He scurried away for a few weeks but now is back, not to provide anything insightful or articulate mind you, just to spout. I guess a better man would ignore the rambling’s of a deficient mind, but I’m kinda jacked today since the USA women won their match and are now in the finals.

    A few weeks from now, if cletus sobers up, is all finished cleaning his squirrel hides and returns for an intelligent insult free exchange, I’m all for it.

    The goddess Nike once kept Atlas as well as Hercules as personal slaves. I heard this yesterday and only did minimul research on that topic, but she did have slaves. The goddess could not be reached for comment today, however.

    His adoptive parents (both white) raised and educated him & got him into sports.
    He identifies with the person who abandoned him, the political party that would have funded his non-birth, and Nessa a woman who is 7ish years older than him and angry.
    With her, he promoted racial strife in the one place where merit counts more than color, A sports field.

    Sound like any former president we know? Abandoned, raised by white people, misguided anger, and fanning racial tensions.

  35. Sorry but I have to say – everyone who’s jumping on the ‘hate nike’ bandwagon should know this is NOT a new policy. About 25 years ago, when Tiger Woods was the Great Black Hope, nike ran commercials insinuating he and nike were fighting against the endemic racism of America.
    I saw one commercial and at that time, my family and I immediately refused to purchase nike products. It was tough having a young son who wanted every item his friends had – but he finally quit asking.
    I despise the company and any who interact or support it in any way. There are others on the list, but since we are discussing nike… there, off my chest after 25 years!
