  1. ” stumbled across ” might be the key important phrase. All I can recall reading about the TSA is that in test to find weapons in carry on luggage. They never find anything.

  2. I know a fellow V/Nam vet who had his 30.06 empty case taken from him at an airport.
The empty case was hanging around his neck, he picked it up at his fathers 21-gun salute military funeral.
No bullet, just an empty brass case with a hole drilled through it for a gold chain.
He had to break the chain to get the case off, or forfeit that too.
Assholes, not intelligent enough to be garbage men in Baltimore.

  3. OTD. I had the same experience at Newark Airport some years ago.
A young TSA broad had me remove an NRA bullet, signed by Charlton Heston, from my key ring. I protested, saying it was harmless. Her supervisor, who looked like the Pillsbury Doughboy, agreed with the broad, said it could be considered a MISSILE.
I gave it up. Didn’t want to miss my flight. Fookin’ eegits!

  4. “Military grade weapon” that’s not “a live device?”

    Isn’t that … uhh … somewhat contradictory?
Except, maybe … just maybe … in the French armed forces?
