Celebrity astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson is facing backlash from rock band Smash Mouth and gun control advocates after he took to Twitter to compare the number of deaths from the latest mass shootings to that of other causes, such as medical errors and suicide.
“In the past 48hrs, the USA horrifically lost 34 people to mass shootings. On average, across any 48hrs, we also lose…500 to Medical errors, 300 to the Flu, 250 to Suicide, 200 to Car Accidents, 40 to Homicide via Handgun,” Tyson said after the deadly mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio. “Often our emotions respond more to spectacle than to data.” more

You know one thing that really has me pissed off is medical errors! I damn near lost my brother this year to a botched liver biopsy. Not only was it poorly performed but the hospital that did it wouldn’t acknowledge the problem until it was impossible to hide. Liberal, arrogant doctors and their willingness to prescribe invasive procedures, and harmful drugs are every bit the threat that these useless, parasite kids with guns are.
Did anyone call him a racist? If not, why not?

An on-line friend of mine died a few days ago. He had been having trouble breathing and had been trying to have doctors figure out the problem for at least a couple of years. In June they finally told him that he had stage 4 lung cancer. What the f**k took them so long?

..every doctor has accidentlly hastened the death of someone. Every hospital has accidentally caused the death of someone just because they were there. They call it “medical ARTS” and “medical PRACTICE” because it’s NOT an EXACT science, and doctors must learn by trial and error…
