Chicago: Latinos flip off Trump Tower during Chicago Mexican Independence Day

American Mirror- The Chicago tradition of cruising the city’s streets for Mexican Independence Day dates back to the 1980s, but the celebration took a turn when police closed off major streets in historically Latino neighborhoods.

The roadblocks ultimately detoured motorists downtown by Trump Tower, where hundreds lined up to honk and wave Mexican flags “as a display of defiance and cultural pride.”  MORE HERE

  1. So Hispanics that want to celebrate their culture and Mexico are free and protected by police via taxpayer dollars to do that in a very disrespetive manner in the US and yet American citizens are shamed when screaming USA or showing patriotism at sporting events, schools, and in public.

  2. Celebrating independence in a foreign country?

Try that anywhere else in the world.

I’m not upset by it, this is what makes our country great.

The audacity of these ingrates, however, is another story.

  3. “as a display of defiance and cultural pride,”

That’s the difference between “immigrants” now and immigrants from the past.

People used to come here to become Americans and take part in America as they contributed to it, now they come here to stay what they are, live off of America, and take a stand against it and all that it stands for.

Something’s gotta change, and when that change comes it will determine if we remain as a distinctly identifiable country with our own culture or not.

Or if we even remain at all.

  4. I’m so independent that I have to escape my own country because it’s unlivable, following decades of my own voting decisions, and get on another country’s welfare system because I can’t take care of myself.

“Independence”. It doesn’t mean what you think it does. I think what they are wanting to celebrate is “In Dependence Day”.

    More appropriately, Ingratitude Day.

Such pride. Take away food and drinks and you’ve got a history of human sacrifice, losing a few wars, a century of utter corruption and a failed narco state. What do they have to be proud of.
