Spot is an agile mobile robot that you can customize for a wide range of applications. The base platform provides rough-terrain mobility, 360 degree obstacle avoidance, and various levels of navigation, remote control and autonomy. You can customize Spot by adding specialized sensors, software and other payloads. Early customers are already testing Spot to monitor construction sites, provide remote inspection at gas, oil and power installations, and in public safety. Spot is in mass production and currently shipping to select early adopters. Watch

  1. …it’s all fun and games until you find out that the sensor package doesn’t know the difference between a rock and a REAL dog when it makes the logical decision during a full-tilt run as to where to step next…

    Sky-net ultimately is Artificial Intelligence that in not localized to 1 computer. It is everywhere.

    Boston Scientific has a man/woman/tranny sized robot that stands on its head and leaps & runs. It was on TV 2 days ago.

    In 20 years we won’t be afraid of people with AR-15s we will be afraid that our robotic postman doesn’t “Liquid Polymerized Metal” spike our asses to the front door!
