The Germans have been importing Muslims from Turkey To work in their factories for decades, you know, to do the work Germans won’t do. Glad to see them replaced with robots. Probably smells better too.

I wonder if when German workers are replaced with robots, does the union contract require Porsche to keep them on the payroll anyway, like the UAW forces GM to do?

I remember reading some years ago that VW (parent company of Porsche) had the highest labor costs per car of ANY automaker, because of sweetheart deals they gave to their unions. I wonder if widespread use of robots has helped lower that cost?

I lived north of there just off der autobahn and used to drive past this place, and the mercedes factory and see the hundreds of cars waiting in their lot to be shipped out.
A lot of the German VW cars are made in Mexico.
