“He had a sword beneath a poncho, it seems to be without saying a word, he pulled the sword out, swung it three times — at least three times — at a very close distance to the person behind the counter,” said Lt. Det. Kevin Beyrer with the Suffolk County police.

    2. Must be 21 years old.
    3. Have no prior felony or serious offense convictions.
    4. Be of good moral character.
    5. Have a legally recognized reason for wanting to possess or carry a firearm.
    6. Be ready to open the business for which the license is being applied.

  3. the store owner may very well end up bankrupt over this legal self defense maneuver.
    once this hits civil court on behalf of the samurai’s relatives if any, the lawyers will always shoot for the biggest payday available.
    and even though he was being robbed or having his life threatened, he will most likely have to surrender his life’s earnings to the family.
    not my hope just my reality. this how gun ownership in ny state works.
