Nine members voted to make Israel’s suspension permanent, while seven voted to reinstate.
DC: The Florida Senate rules committee voted Monday to uphold Republican Governor Ron DeSantis’ suspension of Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel.
DeSantis had suspended Israel in January, citing his failure to act during the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, and the committee was tasked with either upholding that suspension or reinstating the sheriff. more
Hmm, suspended. That sounds different than fired. Suspended leads me to believe that he’s still drawing his pay. Maybe still building time towards a pension.
Government employees are as hard to get rid of permanently as herpes.
Now the creep is just waiting for the next dem administration to reinstate him. Yup, he’s likely still drawing his pay too.
Another call for the Great Meteor to end this corrupt madness.
There’s no other way.

What kind of lazy “eater” do you think this fine enforcer of Law is!?
He better, already, have a second government income, while he’s waiting!
What a bum. Zero honor. Zero competence. Typical Democrat.
As long as he’s being ‘suspended’ by a rope…
You’ve gotta be mighty damned despicable for your despicableness to stand out in a swamp of slime.
He looks like Donald Duck.
No democrat should ever be allowed in Law Enforcement, let alone be promoted to the top. This gutless bum is worthless.
I can now confirm that Florida is home to, at minimum, seven idiots.
