The fact that the Clinton campaign was given the sort of defensive briefing Trump never received is certain to set off new alarm bells.
John Solomon has posted a story describing how in December of 2015, the Clinton presidential operation received an intelligence briefing on the threat to its IT security by foreign nations. While the bad actors aren’t identified, it seems obvious that intelligence agents in this country were concerned enough to give Clinton and her people this warning.
A warning that was never given to her opponent, Donald Trump, during the same political campaign season. Obama’s intelligence community instead targeted the Trump campaign and attempted to compromise a number of minor participants. Here

The thing is that everybody knew that Trump was being spied on by Obama and company. A briefing would have been an admission of guilt.
None of this is shocking anymore. And the knowledge of it will lead to… nothing.

They probably gave Hillary’s campaign a defensive briefing because they realized that her campaign, and security measures, were inept and that Trump’s were sufficiently robust to withstand attack.
