Republican Study Committee releases the BEST health care plan I have EVER read – C. Steven Tucker

I joined Dan Proft this morning to discuss it in detail.

This is my latest on this incredible bill which could not have been written better if I wrote it myself.

33 Comments on Republican Study Committee releases the BEST health care plan I have EVER read – C. Steven Tucker

  1. I don’t need to know anything else, if C. Steven Tucker says it’s the best plan he has ever read, then I am for if. I’m not a health insurance guy, I’m not a government wonk, but I have talked to Mr. Tucker and more than that I’ve read his thoughts here, if this impresses him then I’m for it.

  2. I thought I had wasted 14.55 minutes of my life until he compared health insurance to car insurance….and then I was convinced that I had wasted my time….GET INSURANCE COMPANIES COMPLETLY OUT OF HEALTH CARE!…all they do is grab their vigorish and dance away denying coverage and medications….

…and yeah car insurers suck too….

  3. folks, it ain’t the insurance companies fault that health care insurance is such a mess …. once again, don’t blame companies providing a service that come with government mandates or restrictions …

if I could go out & buy health insurance like I do auto insurance, I would get the coverage I want for the price I want … I don’t need, at this point in my life, neo-natal care … but I am assured that I have it through my ‘health-care plan’ that I pay for monthly.

  4. & don’t forget, car insurance is also a government requirement
it’s a requirement because government does not do it’s job.

follow me: if I decline car insurance, which is not my right, I am saying that I will risk the possibility of having to pay out of my pocket, the consequences of my actions, i.e. vehicle wrecks, property damage, life damage & associated debility. but the government has stepped in & declared that they do not want the responsibility to mitigate, through their courts (that I pay for) my actions that may, or may not have caused damage to other persons or property. instead, they pass it on to the car insurance companies & demand regulation within government fiat.

this is not free-market in any sense … but, it is definitely fascist socialism

  6. @ Anonymous…no Warren voter here…I want the government out of health care too…Honestly, I don’t know the answer, but if you don’t think that the health care insurers are lining up their chariots right outside of Medicare for all then you ain’t paying attention…just check out all of the new providers for “Medicare advantage” programs….

@ ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ …car insurance IS mandated by the government and if you got a line to find me car insurance for less then $850.00 a year for a car and a truck (one is 22 years old and the other is 13) then I’ll kiss your ass and call you master…I’ve had no claims EVER…Don’t get me started on property and causally insurance….

I’m not selective. I hate the insurance industry equally….PS….I thought the use of “folks’ was retired when Obama left the white house…and the “service” that insurance companies provide is nothing more then pushing papers from desk to desk and collecting money….

  7. @willysgoat ~ “…car insurance IS mandated by the government” … that’s why it’s expensive … kinda my point
“…if you got a line to find me car insurance for less then $850.00 a year for a car and a truck (one is 22 years old and the other is 13) then I’ll kiss your ass and call you master” … kinda my point also

I pay over $950 a year on a 2015 SUV w/ less than 24k miles & a 2017 SUV w/ less than 10k miles on it … & I just got a $20 a month premium increase because the ’17 is no longer a ‘new car discount’ … so, I’m paying more for an older vehicle? … go figure

  8. @ anonymous…how I am dumber then a box of rocks? please explain where my viewpoint went astray???…
C Steven Tucker has used that term for me before. Is that you Steven? My viewpoint differs from yours and therefore I’m dumber then a box of rocks????…Please explain where my opinion went wrong oh learned one….you’ve got an opinion and I do too….Do you seek to squelch that?…

  9. @ ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ…I think we agree that the insurance industry, mandated by government fiat has been fucking up the soup of America….cheers to you!….I live in a state with 1 provider for health care. I think they believe that they have that government fiat and act as they do….

  10. … PS…I researched Obama care about three years ago and I could have had “the silver plan” for $60 dollars a month but the rest of the premium $700.00 would have been charged to all of us, so I declined….I can pay my own way….Can the Insurance industry pay their own way?….No, they can’t. They are collectors and not payers….

  11. willy, you know what’s frustrating is that tonight, tomorrow, the next day, some other anonymous will post a comment and no one will know if it’s the same anonymous. Who is that guy?

    5
  12. “. My life experience must mean nothing compared to your wisdom…”
Depends where you learned it. I’m guessing no. Remember, when it’s time to vote if there’s an R behind it vote yes. Again, you’re dumber than a box of rocks. Good luck to you.

    1
  13. Yeah Joe6pak, I think this last anonymous posting is just funnin’ me…..I know it ain’t one of two guys that I might suspect because they can’t spell ‘R’ …..LOL

  14. It’s a bit rich to me that someone calling someone else “dumber than a box of rocks” seems to think that the word “except” (synonyms include “exclude” and “omit”) means the same thing as “accept” (synonyms include “admit” and “consent”).

Maybe someone here will be able to take the time to explain the difference to you.

  15. Whoever anonymous is, their SOP is to attack each one of the regulars here. It looks random, but I’ve been tracking them. They just make a weird assertion and then bow out. I think I know who it is. Notice they don’t elaborate, but repeat what they first wrote? They don’t want their writing style to give them away. I think we’d all know the person if they wrote much more. Just a hunch.

  16. “Remember, when it’s time to vote if there’s an R behind it vote yes.”

    R = D = Uniparty

I vote for an Article V. Convention Of The States.

Shut the Congress down and reset the Republic.

    How’s that for controversial?

  17. If all of us anonymi were to meet for drinks someplace how big of a table would we need? And, at the end of the night who picks up the tab? I have an idea, we could flip a coin, odd man pays, and it turns out we all have a two headed coin.

    > I vote for an Article V. Convention Of The States.

    > Shut the Congress down and reset the Republic.

Because getting all the neighbors together, to agree that they’ll run your crazy “current” (Please goxess, let it become “ex-“!), out of town, for you… is so much smahter, rational, easier, than walking out the door, yourself.

    > How’s that for controversial?

Play The Party’s game? By The Party’s rules? To “win” The Party approved “prizes”? “Controversial”? Why, it’s madness! (There! I got rid of the last of my leftover Halloween echo effects. You’re welcome.)

    > and the “service” that insurance companies provide is nothing more then pushing papers from desk to desk and collecting money…

No. Their service is keeping their lawyers on the clock. To threaten putting somebody else’s lawyers on the clock. You get the “justice” you (through somebody else) can pay for.

    1
  20. willysgoatgruff that was definitely not me. I would not refer to you or any fellow IOTWer in that way. You are all my fellow patriot brothers and sisters. That stated and for clarity, car insurance is mandated by state and local governments, not the Federal government. So the correlation between the now effectively repealed ACA (Obamacare) Individual Mandate (THANK YOU PRESIDENT TRUMP!) and the car insurance mandates is a misnomer.
